What school of economic thought does /biz/ subscribe to?
Austrian/free-market fag here.
None. I subscribe to a heterodox synthesis of Marx, Sismondi's and Joseph Schumpeter's work on business cycles as well as Veblens sociology of consumerism
>>1364656
>Marx
Lad....
Austrian school is such a meme. No sizeable state will ever put such policies into practice. For obvious reasons. Pretty much all of the most breakthrough technology is developed in state universities and the military. Name a technological achievement of the past 100 years and you can almost guarantee it was created in the state sector.
GUYS OMG FUCKING I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. WHY OBAMA SUPPORT THIS ........ Trump won't win :'(( I can't believe it.

stock markets have tended to go up more when dems are in power recently.
This has nothing to do w trumpcoin
>ETHshills BTFO

Its named memetic now...
I am here because this cant be right what am i doing wrong i want to start mining litecoins with the antminer s7 which has 4th/s according to this i would make more than 5000 dollars of profitability per month... This is to good to be true so biz people open my eyes
im interested as well
Isn't 4TH/s = 4,000,000,000 KH/s? Assuming T stands for tera and k stands for kilo.
>>1364546
1GH/S is 1000KH/S so and 1000GH/S are 1TH/S
So 4 TH/S are 4000GH/S and 4000x1000 makes 4 millions kh/s
Can someone recommend me a good book to learn Economics?
I already know the very basics like supply and demand and public and private sector, but I really want to git gud at the subject
I was thinking about picking this book up, but it's a University textbook and it costs like €50..
>>1364486
The Art of The Deal
>>1364496
Isn't that Trump's business book?
Why are the biggest reasons most businesses fail?
I'm thinking about opening a bar, a nightclub or just a grocery store but looking at the failure rate of new businesses in recent years is quite discouraging.
>Why are
I meant "what are", sorry.
The owner isnt intelligent and able enough.
>>1364474
Where ya from?
In my country it is too expensive to hire someone, opening a business is a bureaucratic nightmare, and fucking dindus always robbing the business...

I am meeting a woman who works as a Risk Assurance Manager at PwC today. I had emailed her asking if she could answer some questions I had about Risk Assurance and she suggested lunch to talk.
I will be a Senior studying Accounting this next semester and have intentions of going on to get my CPA.
Anything I should keep in mind?
Wait u can do that and they respond? My mate literally told me to do that, I didn't think anyone up there would oblige
>>1364463
Don't sperg out, be polite, act the part.
Remember, everyone loves to talk about themselves ask for her story, day-to-day stories, etc.

Redpill me on gold /biz/. am I late to the party?
Yeah, like 8 years late.
>>1364435
>am I late to the party?
Probably. I put about £15000 into gold back in August so I'm pretty happy with my returns, and I think it could have room to grow more if the prevailing economic conditions remain choppy, but I don't reckon that there's a huge amount of additional upside.

How does one move to a new city?
I live in a small, shitty town with little opportunity, let alone the fact how depressing it is living here.
I don't have too much in savings, only 280 pounds.
I imagine many /biz/nessmen have either went through this or are wondering the same thing
>>1364417
>How does one move to a new city?
you save up as much money as you can, sell your useless things, pack your things and move.
There's nothing more to it. Want to move to a new city? - Do it. Don't want to move to a new city? - Don't do it.
>>1364417
I guess just have enough for a bus ticket to a metropolitan city. Maybe look up some shelters or have enough to stay at a cheap hotel until you find work. Or arrange work in advance
>>1364422
>Or arrange work in advance
tfw I'm a skillless fag
But I think I can Jew my way through somehow

/biz do you think it is possible to go from "zero to hero" and get rich without having enormous luck; only from merits of own hard work and smart decisions
>no money
>no connections
>no debt
>poor country
>above average income family but not rich
>surrounded by above average income/ close to rich friends

First of all you need to acquire capital. Work, then, buy assets. The more assets you own, the richest you get.
No of course not.
The only people who are rich got lucky or inherited the money. There is no possible other way to get rich

Hmmm I guess it's time to buy(or long) ETH now, before they fix the hacker's damage completely and the takeoff happens
The damage is to more than the market cap tho. The real damage is to the reputation of ETH and that skinny little shit right there, Vitalik.
All bets are off right now. Any other attitude towards ETH is delusional, or just plain dishonest. You have no idea if it's ever taking off again or not.

Where is ETH situated?
Hey guys I am new to /biz/ and I really need some help with my resume. I know its pretty garbage and I'm sure the trash man will come and absorb it into his fat rolls. I need some serious advice on where to start and what people can get away with writing on their resumes for embellishment without going too overboard.
2nd sentence of the summary need rewriting, and generally is generic. A lot of people have skills section but i don't see the point if you put down Things that really should be standard. Just remember to Cater cv to the job you want to get
>>1364225
>always on time
>punctual
Why the fuck would you say the fucking same thing twice??
>>1364225
If you're even going to have a "skills" section, I'd put it at the end, you should lead with education and then work experience if you have any.
Are you guys in on Twitter?
They haven't been reporting very high numbers, but that's because they've been hiring top people from Apple and other strong tech companies, and it's been an expensive ride for them, but should start reporting strong numbers again.
They have 500 million users that are only part-time and they just started sending them commercials. Profits should hit in Q3. They expect $2.5 profit per part-time user.
They have Periscope, which I could imagine will be big.
And they might even get acquired by Apple or some other large...

Another indicator that they might get picked up by Apple is the fact that it's Apple people they've hired.
The same happened with Nokia who started hiring Microsoft people, and then got acquired by MS.
I'd rather put my money into Ethereum.
