what does your boss say when you miss the deadline
>>1073723
Unless my superior has given me a hard deadline, I really don't care if the people I manage bring it in a little late. However, some kind of excuse is always necessary and if it's something along the lines of "I've been tired lately" you're really only going to get away with that once or twice. Personally, I always take into account the task vs time allotted time given and assess if it's easy or something that someone will have to actually put effort into in order to be on time.

I've never missed a deadline. You must be bad at your job
I just realized my father doesn't inherently love me and am thinking about how absolutely fucked I would be if I don't inherit his money (he won't give it to someone else since I am an only child but he might be more inclined to blow up a good chunk of it on himself, the life cycle hypothesis even suggests that older people tend to spend more of their income than middle-aged folk).
You guys are enterprising, what affects someone's decision to leave money for their children? Or generally to help other people financially?
What things can I do...

Be responsible with the money you already have, bond with him over hobbies, don't be a dick, don't disappoint him by coming out of the closet or something retarded like that (old people tend to hate fags) if you are some kind of brony or furry keep it to yourself, no one wants a mental kid to have assloads of money to blow away on some body pillows or dolls.
Try to think of your father as a human being, like an older version of yourself, what kind of child would you like to leave your money to? work on being that son (inb4 you would leave your money to some shut-in...

He's probably come across the images on your harddrive similar to your OPs pic and realised his sons a faggot.
The only hope left for you now is to offer to suck his dick.
Hope that helps

Thanks friend, would love more responses.
He doesn't have many hobbies now that I think of it watching TV with him more might be a good idea, or just sitting in the same room while he does it.

Has anyone else here read pic related? I read it and it made total sense as to how I would go about building true wealth. I'm now researching my chosen vehicle for wealth-building

My dad reccomends it.

Ive just been researching for about a year now how I could actually become rich and free like I've dreamed for. Finally got around to reading it this weekend and it just furthered my conviction in real estate being the way I'll make it happen
It's a terrible book full of stupid points...
Is what I've heard of it. But I've never read it.

6/7 of these are dumb
But being $10k liquid seems totally reasonable to me
Admiral shares of vanguard are the best
Not having an emergency fund is stupid. 10k is not asking a lot at all to create a buffer
>>1071864
I've fallen for the meme for far too long.
It doesn't make sense to have so much cash on hand in a "rainyday fund" when $3k is entirely sufficient, especially when most people either live with their parents or can move in with them for a while if something bad happens.
Even if they couldn't, in what sort of scenario could you POSSIBLY be that $3k is not enough to get back on your feet, in which you could not liquidate your stocks or whatever in time?

Tbh unless you start a business I reckon an English degree or whatever is still more useful than not having one at all.
Many jobs pay more JUST because you have a University degree - HR literally just ticks off "Has 4-year degree".
Of course that's not the only 2 options but it's still better than nothing at all I reckon.
Ps all of us here know this already.
>But literally why spend the money and waste years of your life for a job salary you could easily get after a few years out of highschool?
To do the job you want to do and enjoy, obviously
>>1068341
Because not having a degree is cancer unless you can start a successful business at 18 with no starting capital.
My brother's on 220 applications and no luck, his resume isn't too shitty either.
I have a telephone interview with a stock exchange firm on Friday.
What should I know about stocks/stock exchange?

hi /biz/
Im currently an automation student on south murica and i'd like to move to Canada (with a scholarship) and get better studies, probably going to do mechatronics too, also get a job and a place to live there.
So, if there is somebody that did this before with a similar career.
What are the job opportunities i can get there?
Well paid?
Are you satisfied with it?
I know little. Canada doesn't have the best economic opportunities on the planet but it should be better than South America. If you did manage to find a scholarship go for it.
>>1074133
Thanks for your answer, Anon.
It's expensive to live there though?
>>1074142
I'm an American who's lived in Canada, it's a little bit more expensive than the states and some things like car parts and computer parts are more expensive.
It's not alaska expensive though so you should be fine.
I'm thinking about setting up crowdfunding for a new computer. Have you ever set up successful crowdfunding project? I need some tips.

That's... actually not half bad.
Is there a particular word limit you have? Or are you just trying to keep it to 2 pages? It's what I did too.
>>1073722
No particular word limit. Just kept it under two pages.
>>1073698
Looks really good m8. I would consider changing a few things here and there but honestly they are so minimal that it's probably not worth the effort typing them out. What positions are you looking for?
Hello, young buck here, two questions if you could spare the time guys:
1) How viable is it to target a 0.1% interest rate per day as a day trader? I mean in terms of whether that return is realistic, not whether it's enough to live off of. By viable I also mean, expecting to gain that much on average per day.
1) I'm looking for a good technical analysis book, preferably one which has a nice amount of mathematical intensity, any other books on day trading would be good too.
I'm quite well trained in mathematics/stats so I should be able to...

>>1073631
It's viable to make a whole lot more than .1% a day. But to not lose money at day trading takes years of study and tens of thousands lost in the learning process.
Technical analysis is worse than useless if you don't have an understanding of the market, as well as experience applying your understanding of the market. You can't trade solely on TA because you're not HFT. Get to work researching how the global financial system works. Practice trade and develop your own methodology.
