what is your opinion on wholesaledeals.co.uk
>you have to pay monthly for a membership
>you get good deals from uk where you can mark up the price 2-3 times
>good quality products
where's the catch? (pretty sure u pay 30 pounds a month, but u get quality deals from there, for ex. razer kraken headphones, you buy em for 20 pounds, sell em for 49)
edit: found the catch
apparently they claim that they sell it for 20 pounds, but they charge you 15 or so pounds for shipping. so in reality its all a cheap scam.

Used to try em before. They're a scam.
Okay /biz/ I need your advice
I'm an Australian 2nd year accounting major and I've applied for a cadetship at a ca accounting firm in my local city
I applied last Monday the 15th and that was also the day they posted the job opening, I just happened to luckily stumble across it mere minutes after it was posted.
What I want to know is should I contact them regarding my application and if so when and what should I say?
I applied via email and a mate told me to ring and ask just to confirm they received my application and that Im eager to hear...

Is Ethereum just another pump&dump shillcoin or something worth investing in?
>>1113897
>that pic
Go away shill. Stop opening new threads its pathetic.
it's quite different than the other bitcoin clones
whether it's worth investing in is up to you
It's the fintech phenomenon of 2016.

Holy fuck, just another prime example how stupid the whole Red Pill sub is. What the fuck has this to do with the sexual strategy?
His advice is stupid.
>Rise up the ranks. Play the corporate game. Save up your money. And only when you have comfortably saved enough money, read up about conservative investing techniques and allow compound interest to take over.
Stay a wage slave because the startup community in California is some incest gang. Great logic.
I hate us g the word cuck, but this is just the angry ramblings of a cuck who is annoyed at the success of others. Simply ignore and move on.
What's a good broker for trading /biz/?
I only know about scottrade and tradestaion and fidelity and I don't know anything about any of them.
I'm looking for low costs and as close to DMA updates and charts as possible, and of course instantaneous closure and clearing of trades. Also I'm looking for security, any personal excperince with your broker you would like to share?
>>1113051
Most of biz will tell you Robinhood
I use traveling. Their bid/ask is shitty, but commissions are only 4.95. Their charts have everything you need, but might take some set up to be easier to use.
>>1113078
robinhood seems like incomplete barginware that might cause more headaches than it elevates
what's it called? just "traveling"?
>>1113092
Dude my bad. I meant TradeKing, NOT traveling.
Lowest commissions I've found so far. Plus you can get margin pretty easily if you're into that thing.
I just got my first real job, how should I go about keeping this job. How do I make sure that I'm doing what I'm supposed to do without people looking over my shoulder making sure I'm doing it right. Also how do I be sociable in a work environment?

To what degree can you "abuse" your student loans?
I know the "crushing student loan" and "ramen noodle" memes, but could you in theory use your loans to buy a car and pay yourself a salary?
A person that is wise with money can see that the interest rates and conditions of which you have to pay off these loans are MUCH more favorable than any traditional loans you can get, isn't exploiting this a good idea... especially if you're going to study a profitable career?
I currently use my surplus loans (~4500 a year) and invest them. I've been doing this since freshman year and I've already made enough to cover the interest accrued and then some.
The crippling student debt is because the average student is a rube.
There's no reason why you can't even turn a profit with your leftover funds. I'd say take as much student loans as you can within reason if you have a clue about investing.
Try to get a $20k+ loan as a middle class 20-something the bank will fucking laugh in your face. Student loans are your best bet to start your nestegg.
I don't know if buying a car is ever a wise investment but if you need one, a student loan is like buying one cash... which is the next best thing.
>>1112356
What determines how much loans you receive, and in what form are your surplus loans usually given in?
Is this legal?

How to monetize a messaging app? Something like VIP-statuses would be a good idea?
If you plan on introducing a new messaging app entirely, you can't compete with big players, find a better idea.
Ads are usually the go-to, Facebook Messenger is going to include them now.

Hi /biz/. Im sure you must get this all the time , but what are some good ways to make money on the internet that dont require a specialized skill?
At the moment I have some Ideas
>online betting (in particular matched betting)
>surveys
>sites like swagbucks
If anyone has any experiences or resources that can help please share.
>>1110477
for matched betting: http://www.savethestudent.org/make-money/what-is-matched-betting.html
remember you gotta have some spare money for your liabilities when you lay bets
havent had any success with surveys so far, i never fit the target groups. i sometimes use sites to do freelance translating, e.g. on upwork. doesnt pay much but i work quicker than they expect, so that gives me a higher hourly rate.

Anyone work in the diamond/jewelry industry?
Just bought a 1.2ct i color VS1 stone mounted on a platinum ring with 2 small .5 ct stones mounted on the side.
Any idea of value? Cost me $4000, plus $300 for a 9.1gram wedding band of .925 platinum.
Paid in gold scrap CPUs, 43 pounds of Amd 486, valued at $100 a LB.
Pictured CPU I buy for like $60 a LB
Just traded the guy a day's paycheck for a couple rings.
>>1113124
Wow how do you get in on the cpu buying business and who the fuck do you sell them to?
>>1113130
Metals refiners.
I employ people to strip them out of machines.
I then wholesale the processed steel, alum, copper, boards, ram, etc
>>1113130
As far as how you get in, you either live far away from me and sell it for less to me or close to me and sell it for cash
I am the *only* buyer for this stuff in the USA.
Is there any way I can turn petting a dog into a currency? I know there's already a dog coin, and I know computers crunch numbers for nothing to make other block chain coins. Is there some way to turn petting a dog into mining?
>>1111867
Pet a dog with a balloon. Discharge static electricity into Leyden jar. Use lyden jar to power dogecoin mining computer.
It's actully the kind of things that normalfags would love, so with enough meme power and advertising, you could probably a viral meme out of using dog pets as currency.
It'd be a short fad like anything else, but it's probably possible.
Make a currency that animals can exchange by interaction. Something like that would revolutionize prostitution/relationships with real time satisfaction-dependent payment rates!
Plus we really need a way to monetize our pets so they earn passive interest while we are at work.
This cost $200,000. I built a fairly large prusa i3, awhile back (From scratch),and I'm currently out of a job. I have a few designs for larger printers in the 3x3x3 meter range, I just don't have any contacts or resources to build a small business. I'm looking for a place to immerse my self, the art of building without the worry of rent or money for that matter.
Looking for people to work with, I have no official education, but my passion for creating something that will move the world could is a dream I've had even as a little kid.
Does no one see the potential in this a well made one for 10,000 apiece Also general 3d printer thread.
>>1111811
technology like this is still in its infancy, to build anything remotely practically useful is out of question.
Although you could build stuff that are immobile (pet homes) if youd really want to.
lucrative? Definitely not

I like the guy, and I like the attitude of tinkering and testing and applying it to everything.
He's legit, but I don't think his business model is. Rather, it was a legit model for him because he was smart enough to come up with it by himself, but once an idea reaches best-seller status and thousands of copy-cats hop on board, the boat has long sailed.
His financial advice is sound, and I think what there is to learn from him is more a general way of processing things, rather than a detailed...
