I was an idiot and went to school for Theatre Arts, I was hopeful for an acting career, and I am getting SOME jobs but I need something that will make cash more fluid in the mean time.

Anyone in the trades, what is your opinion on becoming a carpenter? I live in Canada (Ontario) and you can become a licensed carpenter, like all other trades. My dad is a plumber and my brother is currently a 3rd year apprentice under him and will get his license in about a year. The only thing is most "carpenters" i have seen working with my dad on jobs as a labourer are just some buddy who can put studs up on 16 inch centres and not licensed.
