Need advice, apologies if this is elementary bullshit;
I live in Canada, and things aren't looking good for our dollar, or our industry. I have $10k I have been sitting on and I don't know what the smartest move would be to protect it or encourage some growth, I want to pay for my kids' school one day, my mortgage and house is already paid off. Should I go with a TFSA and invest low risk, or do something else?

Have you taken a course in probability theory yet OP? It can take some time to learn. Definitely doable to self study if you've taken multivariable calc, but you'll have to devote some time if you choose to study straight from the Ross text.

How do I negotiate salary at a part time, minimum wage job?
Is it even possible? I'm probably going to get offered 8.25 an hour. Is it a pipe dream to aim for $9.05 an hour? This is my 3rd job ever btw.

Up until recently, I thought the upcoming recession would be deflationary, and was only preparing for that.
Now I realize it could be either, and I'm trying to plan for both simultaneously.
