/biz/ I was a fucking loser who graduated at 24 with a shitty GPA in accounting. I couldn't get a job because of the economy for two years because of the economy, and couldn't pass the CPA exams because of stress. If I were to pass the CPA exams now being almost 30 would I even be considered at a decent CPA firm? I don't have any accounting experience besides a handful of individual tax returns. And if you must know, I've been working a low paying meh job (there's things about it that keep me sticking around) for over a year and I payed my debt off....

Yes you fucking fag. A guy at my gym got his CPA license at like 45
CPA here.
what firm do you think is going to hire you?
there are a thousand kids graduating college this year. I can go and hire any of them. Many of them have already passed sections of the exam.
I don't care that you pass the CPA exam, you've been hauling bricks or whatever for 8 years. Passing the CPA exam doesn't mean a firm will hire you.

Was he always in accounting and recently decided to go for the CPA or he just starting his career later too? This makes a difference because if he was already 'in' that says a lot about if it's going to be worth it or not for me. I hear it's still super competitive and having the exams passed aren't necessarily a golden ticket anymore.

And that's why you can't have a woman run a company. What an annoying, retarded bitch. I'm glad all those fuckhead investors lost all that money. That's what you get for throwing your money at retards.
For all you neets out here. I just made money from passive income. Some golden advice for those who are allergic to working.
Took out a loan of 200,000k with my house as collateral. My parents put the house under my name, to avoid splitting it 50/50 if they get a divorce.
bought diverse stocks, HTF, and various securities with the 200k, currently yielding me 9% p.a. NET
total yield = $18,000 p.a.
the loan interest rate is hovering around 3% p.a.
currently paying $1100 per month, payments on the loan for 20 years @ $13,200k pa.

1/loans are at a historic low, 3% is fucking robbery . nobody is taking more than 2% with collateral
2/ 9% is pretty good but will not last, if u'r stocks collapse (really anon, stocks?!) u'll have nothing + a loan.

The other day I met a girl who wanted me to sell her from this upcoming Saturday all the way to the end of July before she moves back to her home state. All she asks is 2000$ of the money we make. How do I go about this? I never pimped in my life. I live in a big city and there is a demand for prostitutes. Any advice or stories ?
Look for the 'passive income' thread in the catalog, some guy was talking about his pimping.
>>1242159
The whole point is that she does all the work. She arranges the contacts. You sit back and wait for her to bring you YOUR money, and you only get involved if somebody gives trouble.
>>1242159
Don't pay her in a lump sum, keep a steady drip coming. Provide the place. Shouldn't have to worry about cops if it's just one girl. Get her tested often. You'll make more selling it as a sort of escort service but she has to be worth it to customers.
I'm making an LLC and registering it with the SEC as a Broker/Dealer to buy the student loan debts of my friends from the companies that currently hold them. I know they can be bought for a fraction of the total value and then I can just sit on my ass, declare the money spent as a loss and deduct it from my taxes. Anyone see a problem with this?
>>1242082
What makes you think they can be bought "for a fraction" of the total value, dipshit?
And are you going to go to court 10 years from now when your friends don't pay you?
Fucking idiot
>>1242086
Because student debt is frequently bought for pennies on the dollar. And my friends would pay me the cost of buying their debt then we'd call it even. No court needed, no repayment of the loan needed. I'd own the debt and I'd decide I don't need it repaid. http://www.npr.org/sections/ed/2014/09/17/348036877/these-people-can-make-student-loans-disappear
>>1242086
Also there's no need to be so salty, if you have student debt, I'd gladly work the same thing out with you. There's no need for debt buying/absolving tricks to only benefit my friends.
Thinking about majoring in Accounting
Anyone here do this for a living? How is it? are you happy? Also i know that math is involved but can you talk about what kind that would entail. Im not too good at algebra but besides that im okay with numbers.
>>1242069
Did 2 year's and droped out, I'm borderline retarded nonetheless.
>>1242069
>not so good at algebra
You're fucked.
But in all seriousness, don't go into accounting expecting an enjoyable, rewarding job. It's a fucking grind of a job, but it pays well if you're any good. Once you get chartered it pays even better.
friend of my dad's accepts a small wage for what he does (accounting) because he doesn't want to pay so much tax... don't fuck with accounting unless you work for yourself
Dr Drew, who went to a joke state college for undergrad and med, and has killed 13% of his celebrity rehab patients because he denies them access to life saving drugs like methadone, thinks he knows better than thousands of doctors who save 70 percent more people by utilizing methadone. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/five-myths-about-heroin/2016/03/04/c5609b0e-d500-11e5-b195-2e29a4e13425_story.html
This is relevant bc i have multiple friends in the investment sphere who were/are pill junkies and some who are on methadone.
I support Dr Drew because he kills more druggies.
>base doctor making our streets safer
>>1241724
I've been to rehab. Methadone sucks if not administered properly, and given with the intent to taper. It's a tool to wean you off, not a substitute. Being on it for life is just retarded. Same goes for suboxin (sp?). But subs have such a long half-life that getting people to kick them is nigh impossible.
All this is pointless, though. As you can never really make someone get clean. They need to want it.
This is not relevant to this board at all.
Since we're here though. I quit heroin cold turkey after having a 1+gram habit a day. Junkies are the biggest pussies i know of. Always crying about being sick and how they can't get off it.
Trying withdrawing from a drug that might actually kill you like benzodiazepines and barbiturates (which i've done). There's some real hell.
Will this guy fix the Philippines? He managed to reduce the crimerate in the "murder city" to almost 0 and now seems to want to do that with the entire country.
Invest in Philippine market now? Will it finally stop being a shithole? It's already essential to the technological market so if it actually becomes an integral country the Philippine market might explode in value.

Paypal hate thread?
I used to run an eBay store when I was a senior in high school in the early 2000's (when eBay was more individual-based than company based) and I just can't believe how shit it's become. Its rules and policies are fucking ridiculous to kiss buyers' asses but it allows so many scams to go through. I sell posters and prints and after dealing with one shit SNAD situation, customer support just goes "you should expect these things to happen. This is the cost of running a business." And you can't even leave negative feedback...

There was an online game I played called "tibia" some mmorpg and they dont allow you to transfer bought currency into the game for 6 months because of all the paypal/cc scamming
>>1239604
>kiss buyers' asses
This is the main reason they are still the top payment processor in the world. Sellers are easily replaced but buyers are not. Paypal is huuuge on consumer protection which allows the highest number of people to feel comfortable using them to buy products. I don't see Paypal ever getting knocked off as top dog as long as they keep their policies aligned in favor of buyers. If they ever begin to side with merchants, they are going to lose most of their userbase.
>>1239604
Don't have any stories.
I'm not a retard who uses Paypal as a merchant, that's fucking dumb.
Use EMT, bitcoin, skrill, payza, fucking anything. And it's *WAY* better, lower fees, instant, non-reversible(almost).
Palladium looks like a kick ass investment right now, pic very related. Anyone know anything about the metal, or investing in it? Thinking about buying a few ounces, to hopefully sell later. Should I?
Wow you may make an extra 30% over 2 years. How underwhelming.
>>1239740
That actually sounds pretty good. You got a better idea?
>>1239774
sell options and make that in one year. Flip a house make it in 6 months. Its a nice play don't get me wrong but you make a 30 year play with you know 50k+ when you've got a little left over. if you don't have a core position somewhere you need to focus on building that first.
