I've worked 7 years in a somewhat small tourism info center. I left by myself and my boss liked me and offered herself as a reference/to make a letter and even grab a coffee some time if we want to talk (she has a lot of experience in HR from past jobs).
That was almost two years ago. Is it too late to call her for a reference letter? I feel so retarded to do this now but it's my only job as of now so I can't not have any references or else interviewers will think I got fired.

Trumpvoter here. Should we redefine what rich is? I feel like strangling obama when he refers to ppl making over 250k a year as "obscenely rich". Thats really not that much money for a well sized family. I dont think taxes on them should go up. If your making serious money, however, like what i call "fuck you money" aka 10 million a year +, then you really are making enough money for it to be reasonable for u to pay more taxes. Its not reasonable for the waltons to pay the same tax rate as a 250k'er. If youre making a billion a year, yeah, paying 50-60%...

Flat tax is the only appropriate kind of tax. There is no point in continuing to raise taxes on the middle and upper class, but never stopping their abilities to create tax shelters. This only harms successful individuals and does nothing about Apple and Walmart keeping billions in off shore tax shelters.
There should either be an income tax or a sales tax, not both.
There should be a constitutional amendment to forbid property taxes. This is essentially "paying tribute to the kind"
You should also be able to opt out of social security and medicare...

Is majoring in Business Admin a bad Idea? I started off as an accounting major, but over the past few semesters I've realize that I really don't enjoy it. I really can't see myself doing this in the future. I did think about marketing at one point, but I thought that would be a bad idea and I was right because the class I took was awful.
If I do go with the business admin route then what kind of jobs will I end up getting?
Go look in the mirror, and you'll find a future manager of a McDonald's branch. BusAdmin is literally majoring in nothing. Anyone can be an administrator with or without being taught how. Marketing is much better for business if you're really not into quant.

Companies don't hire people that just majored in business admin anymore, they hire people internally or are already and just have those people that already have experience get an MBA.
The reason for this is that about a decade ago, it was way too common for a software company to have a fucking business admin boomer boss that couldn't even turn the fucking computer on.
That and HR are what have turned the corporate world into the nightmare that it is today.

Happen at the end of Q3 in 2015 because of China and in Q1 2016 because of weak US and Europe.
Fed just got unlucky have rate talk around that time. Just .5 percentage points wont make a real difference compared to 0 or .25.
Is there any reason to not get in on a 401K even if my company doesn't offer matching because it's backwards as fuck?
I mean, aside from the fact that I can lose all of my money invested in that particular venture, it doesn't seem like a terrible idea.

401k with matching or percentage matching is quickly disappearing and I doubt there will be any significant number of jobs that still offer it in ten years.
If I didn't have a match, I'd just max out the Roth IRA and then put my money into other investments.

I just graduated from an OK school with a BS in Econ and BS in math, if you go to a good school I'm assuming BS isn't a very big deal but from a crappy school it makes a difference

I have a decently large purchase coming up ($3K-$4K) and a credit card with a $6K limit. Should I charge it all to the credit card for those sweet sweet points and then pay the balance at the end of the month, or do I charge only $1.8K to the card to stay at %30 utilization and avoid any dings on my score (~750 atm)?

My dad owned GM dealerships when I was a kid, and an exotic dealership for a while that imported cars from Europe and got them road certified / homologated.
