Any advice to for somebody looking to get into cryptocurrency exchange? Been researching for a little bit but still don't really feel confident enough to start actively trading. How did those who have had success build up the knowledge to not fail like a giant faggot?
trade with btc, ltc, eth and you will.not fail
buy low and sell high, have your trade mantra planned out, for example:
buy eth at ~$9 each and sell at ~$14.5
and trade on bitfinex

Thanks! Any reasoning for bitfinex over poloniex? Poloniex was just the first client I found out about, just wondering about benefits to one over another

more reliable
What are some good resources to learn about financial derivatives? I'm talking about options, futures, swaps.
go onto the website of the exchange that offers the products you are interested in. they always have some information. the cmegroup website has some easy to read stuff so check that out.
>>1278384
CFA material is easy to understand and covers a broad range of derivatives. Especially L2 material about swaps, FRAs and Futures should be helpful.

This is the absolute best one to start with. It has essentially everything you need to know, from if you'd study B.Sc. Finance. The later chapters have some grad/phd finance level stuff. Everything is also taught using jargon/notations that's actually used in the real world.
John Hull from Rotman (Toronto) also has a lot of free resources on his website and writes serious academic papers as well as industry white papers.
How high do you guys see ETH going on this run before it dips back down? I have sell orders at $15, $16, and $17 just in case.
>>1278357
$22. that includes a euphoric break through $20 plus a little air-time before reality sets in.

Im ready

no idea I still have 3,000 ETH I bought for 3 Bitcoins back in 2014 before launch.
Investing is a zero-sum game.
Unless you are willing to spend 8+ hours a day to become as well trained as your competition, you should not invest in the stock market.
Focus on your career/skill and stop wasting your time.
>>1278351
It's not. Just invest and wait some years. Only idiots try to beat the market.
>>1278362
maybe, but some markets certainly beat others. is it worth the time to pick a specific market to invest in?
You can always do real estate
So how are all the ttnp shills doing?

Down 6%, but I bought after Friday's dump, so I was nowhere near the peak. Guess we'll see how that meeting today goes, if there's a significant bump I'll probably sell tomorrow or the day after.
I'm 18 years old and I live with my mother. Getting a job is difficult since I only have a high school education, so here's what I'm planning to do:
> go to University
> study something I am already fairly skilled with, like web design or statistics
> take a full student loan ($1200/m) even though I don't need it since I live with my mother
> take $200 monthly and give to mother so she doesnt kick me out

Forgot to mention, I can't use the money I made for this. I only have $1400 left because I bought a car and materials to build a smallish cabin for myself to live in on our property.

Are you fucking retarded?
Just go to school and if you feel bad then pay her after you go to school
Is it really that hard
youre normal.. alot of people live with parents even at a later age.. youre just a baby in human years
>>1277977
Don't. Do good your first year and see where you're at as far as time.
Try to get internships in your respective field, get good grades, and network. Aim for being financially independent by senior year.
>tfw global growth is stagnating because boomers refuse to retire and are least likely to spend/consume to fuel economic growth
>tfw once they cash out their retirement accounts the entire global economy will crash because boomers are more likely to actually have any investments or savings than millennials
The next big crash is going to happen. Just a question of what event will cause the boomers to panic and sell
No need to fear, boomers aren't dying any time soon.
Immortality is practically here already, as living to be 100 is no big deal now. Hell my grandfather who smoked a pack a day lived to be like 80 something. You can start worrying about those problems when we get to 2055.
>>1277964
So the generation that saves and provides capital for lending and investment is "bad" while the generation that YOLOs and refuses to save or invest is "good."
That some masterful denial, Millennial faggot.
>>1277997
Go to bed grandpa. You've got another war you won't fight in or pay for to squeal for tomorrow.
>Finally find a job
>It's part time and barely get any hours
WHAT DO I DO? SHOULD I LOOK FOR A SECOND JOB?
well?
>>1277946
Yes, I've been in a similar situation. It sucks. Look more. It should be easier now that you have employment.
>>1277924
Always be looking for another job
>tfw after 3 years and many spergy failed interviews I have gained the ability to talk (literally) coherently in them without having prepared and memorised the sentences beforehand (and that was a challenge in the first place)
>tfw I talked more in interviews (total words or time) than I did in 4 years of university to lecturers or (zero) friends
Fuark, I'm literally James Bond tier suave at this point. What should I do next? Talk my way in to Fort Knox or chat up supermodels?
Any tips ?
>>1277889
I've only been good for to interviews, so I'm maybe not such a massive expert as I tried to portray.
Maybe some combination of the below factors
- Speak loudly and clearly and slowly
- Realise that interviews are mostly utter bullshit tick box exercises so know what they want and give it to them. Go in to as little technical detail as possible
- Watch Donald Trump's debate performances to see how improvising can be done
- Go through many interviews
I actually prepared...

Should fix the typo though.

How can someone think they'll get a job with a resume like that?
Pic related, it's mine. Not great but a damn sight better than the one OP posted.
Imagine if you will, a young man searching for a job. His resume is appealing, his experience is minimal, but he's a charming fellow who's bound to get picked up eventually. The question is, what can he do in the mean time to maintain a healthy income in the way of general services? A friend and I have considered sifting through free craigslist and scrapping electronics/selling scrap but what are some other low-skill services I can perform to pull in some income while I wait for a response from a local business?
