Can you provide examples of Multimillionaires who
(1) Started after 30 years of age
(2) Made their money in non traditional ways such as Art, Music Mixing, Copyright Trolling, Collectables, Music (in general), ETC...
IE: Duff McKagan (musician) from Nirvana who invested in Starbucks in the beginning, Prince who owned all his music (unlike most artist).

2 chainz didn't start getting attention until he was like 35
Sylvester Stallone

Umm Duff McKagan was definitely not in Nirvana. Are you thinking of Krist Noveselik or Dave Grohl?
I'm a high school student who just turned 18 on June 3rd, my family is very well off and hands out money generously which I'm very thankful for.
I was given approximately $400.
I really want to repay my family just for always being there for me, especially my grandparents, and my dad for being such a shit son.
I'm interested in investing and trading stock, but I have no idea where to start, although I would know which companies to invest in.
I'd like to know which online brokerage account to open, as well as why I should choose that one.
I...

Invest in estrogen and other various female hormones, become feminine, and begin sucking cocks. It's probably one of the best investment strategies you can make.

For the 40,000th time there's virtually no point in investing a tiny amount of money in a one-off instance.
I'm not sure what you expect to be making on stocks but any investor would be ecstatic if they made a 10% return. You know what a 10% return on $400 is? 40 bucks. Two blowjobs and you can make that in an hour.
Just pay off any debt you have, or hold onto it as a small rainy-day fund if you have no debt.
You can invest it if you want but you'd just be playing a game, not accumulating...

Hi guys, I'm soon going to recieve $425,000, which will be around $270,000 post tax.
This money is mine to do what I want with, and besides buying a couple things like a computer and maybe a year or two of rent, I think I want this money to ultimately become a down payment on my first home.
Let's say I have 250K for simplicity. Could I get some advice where to place this cash to best meet my goals? I plan to probably use it for said house in 5-10 years.
I'm already adept at investing, having turned 8K into 22K in about 3.5 years. My big...

Also, I have no real income besides this upcoming money. I've already dwindled my saving down from 30k to 22k thanks to getting a meme degree. I'm really hoping to land a job tomorrow. Once I do (and it will happen eventually) I will be making (40-60K) my goal with that would be to become self-sufficient, move out of my home, and still save around 10K a year.

Fellow /biz/nessmen,
I'm looking to write and backtest trading algorithms. Can anyone provide a free DL link to a recent version of MATLAB or any other suitable software?
If you can't find a download link for the software that you will use to write trading algorithms, what makes you think you can write trading algorithms?
>>1288604
I obviously already did. They only look malicious and full of shit. I thought someone on here might use a cracked version that didn't give them aids or the plague.
>>1288629
Not sure why you think practically anyone on /biz/ would be using MATLAB. I would go ask /sci/ honestly, you'd have a way better shot over there.
Hi /biz/,
I'm wondering if anyone around here has kept track of the successes and failures of /biz/'s various "meme stocks" over time.
I'm hoping to use machine learning in order to analyze various properties of meme stocks and attempt to determine if there are any decent predictors.
I've searched around some board archives, but to no avail. Figured I'd ask you all before I start compiling data from the archives by hand.
>>1288554
Bumping to clarify that when I say "meme stock" I'm specifically looking for stocks that had a lot of hype on this board for whatever reason, whether they failed or succeeded.
For instance, I would not consider HMNY to be a meme stock despite the 600% returns, because there was little to no discussion of it on this board before the explosion.

If my parents have paid their mortgage then what's stopping me from being a NEET / working 15 hours a week for the rest of my life? Is there some sort of property tax that would fuck me up if I inherited the house?
There are a lot of things that can go sideways.
Property taxes, insurance, repairs, health costs, inflation, these are artful risks in an early retirement scenario.
Working may help, but generally part time work pays poorly.
You will always need some income
>>1288474
Artful? Wtf autocorrect.
I wanted to type 'always'
>>1288466
>implying they would let you inherit the house
That house you're living in is their retirement fund. They're counting on selling it to fund a decade of exorbitant cruises, world travel, and otherwise frivolous behavior planned just well enough that they go broke before dying.
Do not believe in inheriting anything. The closest thing you could do would be to make enough money to buy the house directly from them at a reasonable rate with with a mortgage with no interest....

What are some good buzzwords and general bullshit terminology I can throw around during an interview for a digital marketing internship?
what a sad and bizarre stock photo
>>1288315
Don't throw around buzzwords to professionals. Its going to make you sound silly. Since its an internship you are expected to not know much. Just be polite, talk about your education, what you want to get out of the internship and where you see yourself going later in your career. If anything, you should be asking more questions than talking about yourself. It shows that you are really interested in the position and engaged in the interview.

Is this an acceptable email?
Dear Frank R:
I most sincerely apologize for my casual approach in our last meeting, and for not portraying the upmost professionalism that I am certainly capable of. I am grateful to have be given another chance at representing myself and am ready to meet at your convenience.
Thank you again

Why would you wear anything even slightly casual to an interview? My office has a no tie policy, but I wore a fucking tie to my interview for an internship. The email looks fine but second chance or not if someone was that offended that they sent you home I doubt you'll get the job.

How do I start making more money on the side if I'm broke as hell already?
I'm currently living abroad and I hate my job and everything related to it. I'm currently making jackshit at around $1200-$1500 a month and after bills and other necessities I end up with roughly $300-$500. No matter how much I try I'm never able to save up anything and as the months go by my paychecks are getting lower and lower due to the inconsistency of my job.
I had resorted back to gambling in attempts to possibly come out at least a couple hundred above what I...
