How much does eBay take out in fees these days? Thinking about starting up myself but keep hearing about horrible fees and that by the end of your sale after dealing fees,taxes,and shipping you only make roughly 61.5% of what you sold the item for.
I am a total /biz/ illiterate and I want to learn how to invest. I am still young so I wouldn't mind going for a more risky way to make money.

I know the first year is generally a lot easier, but I was wondering if college has been dumbed down for diversity quotas and to bring in people with low IQ for the sake of equality. Another thing I wanted to add to was this. Am I the only person that is taking college seriously? Most people just seem to do the bare minimum and are completely disinterested. Lots of my classes are 1/3 full during the normal classes and for the final the room is generally packed.

College hasn't been dumbed down for diversity so much as it has been commercialised. American universities will pass a student that should fail because otherwise that student will simply pickup and move to another college, taking their tuition fees with them. Normie middle of the roads students like you get pushed up to higher GPS and now we've got a saturation of people getting 3.5+

Are you at a very good school? If not, then yeah most people are probably just trying to graduate so they can try to find a job in an office as soon as they can once they graduate. They probably don't enjoy what they're doing, but think it's the most practical thing they could do.
Doesn't mean there aren't others who are interested, but honestly if you're in your first year, there's probably a few students who know pretty much all of what is currently being taught, because...

I recently hired an employee that I don't really like. They passed the interview well, but upon working with them, personality wise they are just kinda a fag.
The new employee has done adequate work, shows up on time, but has never really wowed me.

I think this isn't as easy as it sounds. It sounds like one of those things like pawn shops, that are a huge hassle to start in the US (I'm assuming that's where you're from since I've never heard of debt-acquirement agencies in Europe). Maybe you can start out buying and selling a bit on the secondary market before throwing money at a market you know very little about. Or you can buy contracts from existing shops and just get into the collection side of it. Trying to do everything at once...

well of the dividend is like 0.30$ per share what guarantees do you have that the next day the stock value will be the exact same? As the other guy said, they're most likely to drop just because the dividend has been paid so recently

Hey I'm new to stock trading investments. Is there some reason I can't buy if a stock goes up a penny and sell if it drops a penny and just keep doing this until I'm a millionaire. Stocks tend to rise and drop by more than a few penny whenever they move.
If you are only invested when it's rising and no other time you can't feasibly lose any money. A simple computer program could easily do that for you.
