Why does everyone praise vitalik for his involvement in ethereum. He's considered a genius because he fits the starved autist stereotype but it seems to me like Gavin Wood did most of the heavy lifting. He wrote the official ethereum yellow paper, implemented the underlying tech, and created the solidity programming language for writing smart contracts. your autist is a false god, praise gav.
pic related, it's gav

Holy fuck I lmaoed

Not a bad observation, desu.
If I had to guess its because Butin was involved in Bitcoin at such a young age and knew how to attention whore to the press. As far as I can tell he hasn't written any significant software or white papers. Even the idea for a cryptocurrency with better smart contract support was devised prior to Ethereum.
If you want to know what the real story is: Butin is mostly arrogant and way over-hyped. I've spoken to people before who had their ideas stolen by the guy or...

holy shit, thanks for the great response. I'm a newfag to blockchain tech myself but I've been doing some really basic smart contract writing and I've read the ethereum white paper. Why do you think it isn't a legitimate platform for creating decentralized applications? do you know of any better options or should I build a specialized blockchain from scratch for a DApp?
How much would /biz/ pay for a blowjob?
I see plenty of posts here about knee pads and lip balm. But I don't think there's any money when you're competing against guys that will do it for free.
>>1346204
from a guy i would pay 1 crowbars
a nice looking girl could get a $100 if she can deepthroat and is a pro
my gf sucks excellent dick but she can't take it in balls deep
I paid $30 for my onahole and it's reusable.

Only $30? I thought the good ones were a fair bit more
I'm studying business studies in university because I enjoy learning about business as a Subject and the different aspects of it, but I don't have any idea of the business I could start. Do I graduate and get a job while I wait and find out what my best bet is or should I keep opening and if they fail, close them in a trial and error style, until I create the right one?
Honestly, you're better off working for a business at first. Apply for jobs, get a job in whatever industry; LEARN THE FUCK out of that industry, with everything there is to know about *x industry*. After doing that for a few years, think about how you could do it differently. With a strong knowledge of the rules, it's easier to intentionally break the rules and create an innovative edge.
Creating a business straight out of school is everybody's fantasy, but realistically, only incredibly intelligent and creative people can do this. Us people with more...

If you want to be an entrepreneur there is no point in going to university.
If you want to be an entrepreneur you should do a trade, SoftE, CS (even them you can learn at home relatively simply).
You should defs get a job first so you learn the real world business dynamic. Also, accounting is probably the best degree to get if you want to go to uni and have an understanding of things like cash flows, balance sheets etc, ratios etc.
Are morals and ethics in business(as well as life) just fancy words with no actual meaning?

of course. this is a wolf against wolf world, we should be killing one each other for money and power

The catch is the pay is $10 an hour. I'm considering doing it, but would really rather be closer to home/not in a budget hotel, or at least getting paid more. On the bright side, the week would net me around $700 to put on crypto.
Rent out your place while youre gone on airbnb or something similar. Use that money to buy decent prostitutes for your hotel room.
Or bang 4/10 tinder girls while youre traveling.

any benefit in taking up my company's stock option to buy at a 20% discount?
So I was thinking about saving up £500, and setting up an automated program to trade on my behalf. £500 is nothing in the long run, it's less than half my ordinary monthly wage but I need to pay off some things first.
1. How much of a shit idea is this? Would I be correct in thinking I would need to manually trade before setting up the program, or could I just set really conservative parameters and just let it run for an hour or so?
2. What are materials or courses you can recommend me to learn about forex or coding for the program? Are there any particular...

Don't mess around with the EA's. They won't consider the fundamentals, sentimental and news events like a human would. I'm not saying automated trading doesn't work. It's just a hard strategy to implement for the little guy.
My advice is to spend lots of time educating yourself about the following: fundamental themes and their impact on the currencies, how to gauge and profit from retail sentiment and solid money management and emotional discipline theory.

Thanks man, where did you learn about this?
I want to avoid doing degrees in economics or business for the time being, as being an accountant is a bigger concern for me. Would short introduction courses into forex be a waste of time? Are there any books to read up about these subjects, or fx in general that you would recommed?
>>1345211
No worries. I actually wrote my own strategy in MQL. Back-tested beautifully. However, it relies on two things: consistently low spread and fairly nonvolatile markets.
Thankfully I didn't lose too much of my starting capital.
Honestly, it seems super lame and childish but start by going through babypips.com. Then learn a bunch of mechanical trading systems (pure technical, pattern recognition etc.). Then use your knowledge of technicals simply for entries, exits and timing the market (with...

Why are stocks percieved as valuable? I get that they're associated with a company, but that dosen't mean they have value. Why do we panic sell when a company posts a bad quarter? Why does the price rally when the company posts a good quarter? Speculators arent betting on a company, they're betting on the actions of the other speculators. So what ties a companies performance to a stock's value
>>1345012

Well, that's kinda the whole idea of securitization, isn't it?

Nothing inherently. There is no obligatory link.

They've been hiring people left and right, spearheading cryptocoin security, after the last 2 spikes, it seems to be going up by tiny amounts everyday.
With each annoucement, the price goes up by a small margin, never dipping below 3.00$

Honestly, I commend McAfee for living out his dream. I mean good Lord, who wouldn't love to live out the fantasy like this of hiring the most 1337 hackers of all time, buying up geek squads of young talent, all to save the world from evil Chinese and Russian hackers?
That shit is just the coolest.
I wonder if this isn't a better LONG call option like a February '17 8 strike type thing to make the sickest gains rather than just a mere 8 month 150% gain tbqh famalam.
