Hi /k/, I'm wondering if you can recommend some good ASGs that would be adequate for future possesion of real weapon?
2/10, got me to reply
head to /asp/ and ask.
far as I remember though, Systema and Real sword are the most realistic ones
>>758811
What do you mean?
give me all your /asp/ related reaction pictures.
doesnt matter if its from WWE, MMA or whatever the fuck else
Hi /asp/.
Is it worth starting Kyo Karate? I did Shotokan for like 9 years, got a brown belt, stopped for a while and have been doing Muay Thai for about a year and BJJ for 6 months now. I plan on continuing doing Thai/Boxing for quite a while.
Question: Does Kyokushin bring anything to the table that Thai doesn't?
>>758670
As a sidenote, does Kyo really make you basically invincible to body punches? I've seen videos of kyo guys in bareknuckle fights where body blows do zilch to them. That'd be quite useful
Kyokushin fighters with 15+ years experience (around what it takes to get a brown belt) look invincible to body shots because they have been hit in the body the entire time. It's just a matter of conditioning which you could get from other combat arts but most don't train as hard.in other words Kyo guys start getting hit early and spar early. I have done MT as well but I prefer kyo because you know your body more in depth with kihons kata and kumite
Tl;dr yes it is worth
unfortunately they have literally 0 head punching defense, which is literally THE most common attack in striking
waste, anon. also mas oyama didn't even fight bulls, he fought an ox, which is akin to a dog in japan.

I'm betting my house that the final match will Reigns vs Ambrose.
Living in the UK is terrible for drying gi's due to the constant rain and cold winds. Is it plausible to put your gi in the tumble dryer and put it on a low temperature for a short period of time?
burn it
>>758126
Why are you washing it? Use the smell to your advantage, no one wants to fight a smelly Sally so they would want the fight to end as soon as possible, take away the will to fight with your stank. You know I'm right.
>>758126
I always put my gi in the dryer, high heat so I don't have to dry it more than once.

Why the fuck aren't you guys talking about the most badass sport in the fucking world?

Bumping for some action
>>757942
>Why the fuck aren't you guys talking about the most badass sport in the fucking world?
Because it's so awesome, it literally speaks for itself.
We're all just waiting speechlessly for it to become a global phenomena so we can try it ourselves.
>>757953
Seriously, MMA ain't got shit on UWM. It takes more skill than MMA where you're literally just flailing your arms to knockout your opponent. in UWM you're actually making points much like a real fighting video game so it's going to be way more balanced. MMA is literally unfair.
What does /asp/ think of this app supposedly being released tomorrow?

I think a lot of people will be going to the police station.
Thougts about Hapkido?
One of the best martial arts to ever be formed; besides Wing Chun, that is.
>>757862
Nice try, kiddo.
Bartitsu and Systema are way superior, OP.
It's a type of mma it has strikes an grapples worth learning
Double x-chromosome here. What martial art would best help me overcome the physical difference between genders? I want to be able to defend myself when I have to.
Just do MMA.
>>757817
It will take years for you to be a match for an average untrained male of your same body weight in any martial art, decades to beat someone heavier and you'd never have a shot against someone with a basic understanding of how to fight
Get a gun
Wing Chun.
Have you guys had a reason you left your dojo or gym? I left mine when they refused to pay me for working there. How bout you guys
>>757613
>I left mine when they refused to pay me for working there
Elaborate.
>>757613
>ikido
>Jeet Kune Do
It's a philosophy for martial arts, not a marital art.
is boxing twice a week and judo twice a week a good amount? will i be able to improve well with that? i cant fit any more in
thats good
>>757555
thanks bro, hope you have a good weekend
I'm in a similar position with kickboxing and BJJ.
I've been wondering whether dropping the 2 bjj sessions and taking 4 x kickboxing classes a week would give me that much more skill in a shorter amount of time.
Thoughts?

Previous thread.
Okay, so what's going on in this week, in the world of professional wrestling? Well:
> The huge story is still Seth Rollins sustaining a dangerous injury, suffering a torn ACL, MCL and medical meniscus. This means the prince of the Authority is going to be out for at least 6-9 months, putting him out for his title defence at Survivor Series and any future WrestleMania match they were planning

For what purpose?
Who else /nervous/? I better at least beat one person. At a Judo tournament, and I get easily anxious which costs me my matches.
I'm the same 5'6" 145 manlet OP from a month ago.
Post tournament stories and motivation, bros.

What have you been working on since to improve an where the videos
>>757372
Will have the videos maybe eventually
I have been lifting harder, training harder, and trying to relax more.
Sensei noted that I look way to tense and stressed. Trying to get my chi together(lol) and relax.
>>757369
even false confidence can be enough to scare your opponent out of the ring. just be as aggressive as you can be while maintaining form and stare that mother fucker down.

alright so what's the consensus?
is it safe to skate *after* rain? will my deck/bearings/hardware get fucked up?
>>757313
water messes with the mtal parts but it's worse for your deck, because it's made out of wood. If you can handle the slipperiness make sure you avoid splashes. That's what logic dictates.
>>757313
idk about the technical parts but my griptape got really dirty and i ended up towelling it off after i was done skating
