So I have a week old baby ribbonsnake, first time I ever had a snake. I really can't find that much about them. I was told he should eat 3 fish two Times a week and to leave him in the carrier until he is bigger. Then upgrade a 10 gallon tank. Also told he didn't need a heat pad until it colder out. (I'm in NY) any thoughts?
you're doing pretty much everything wrong

there's usually a Herp thread up, go find it and ask them

I know it's been hot lately in NY (upstate fag) but that doesn't mean it doesn't need a source of heat

google ribbonsnake care. there should be something. it will need a heat gradient, 85 degrees on the warm side and mid 70's on the cool. care sheets will explain how to set that up.

Wow, I wonder why. Surely not because ribbon snakes are just a species of garter snake or anything.
How about reading shit about the pet you're gonna get before buying it?
