Funny you say that, because when my mom saw his picture after I adopted him the first words out of her mouth were, "Oh, no, honey, he's stupid...look at the look on his face..."
In general she's been right; he's as dumb as a post. Kind of frustrating since he's a mix of what're supposed to be two of the smartest dog breeds. Was thankfully very easy to train since he has an overwhelming desire to please.
This is April and Davey.
Davey is either a lab/dachshund mix, or a staffie/golden/basset/terrier mix. First one is what I think, and second one is what a DNA test said he was.
No clue what April is though, aside from some kind of spaniel. Chihuahua perhaps?

Got stepped on by a much bigger dog when he was a newborn, and his owner's left him to die rather than treat the wounds. I met/adopted him several weeks later

Those people should consider charging higher for a rehoming fee. 30 dollars is low enough for to buy and abuse.
