Help! My leo won't eat and has been very lazy and sleeps a lot. I turned her over and saw her genitals were covered in sand from my tank and are crusted over, what do?
So far ive let her sit in warm water and used a qtip with warm water to wipe out most of the gunk. It's obviously infected
Take it to the vet nigga.

This. Probably irritation from living in sand. Choose a different substrate and take to vet.
use a different substrate besides sand. reptile carpet is ok but i dont like it bc my lizards toes can sometimes get stuck on it. paper towel or newspapers are great if you are looking for something cheap. tile is the best option tho imo.

also, since her vent is infected, soak her in a diluted betadine bath for a good few minutes. do it for a few days and if nothing is helping, vet is recommended.

It's probably been eatting the sand too ya dumb bitch. Do reasearch before you buy and you won't hurt your animals. You have the whole internet you have no excuse.
