Animals and nature, I have a little tree that is not doing very well right now. Does anyone know what's wrong?

Months pass, tree is doing awesome.
Last couple of months though...

>many leaves have been gradually falling off
>remaining leaves feel dry and brittle
>leaves blotchy and discoloured
I've been keeping it in an east facing window and watering it regularly.
Does it simply need fed? If so, what nutrients is it probably lacking?
Or does it have some kind of tree AIDS?

Yeah, you need to be adding nutrients and fertilizer. You should also be having it outside if at all possible.

With bonsai you're adding fertilizer pretty regularly. Every few months, really. If you haven't been doing any in the last 6 months, especially through the spring and summer, you've kind of been fucking up.

Bonsai absolutely can be kept indoors, provided they're in a window and getting plenty of light. Keeping bonsai indoors does not automatically mean it's dead.
