Well, if we're talking unarmed combat here, the situation is going to be a little different. So I just looked up how much an elephant weighs, and how much triceratops weighed. 6 tons to 28 tons respectively. Without some sort of tactical action, this elephant is shit outta luck. But - elephants are smart mammals and a triceratops is just a dumb lizard. Here's the way I think it would go down, hypothetically: the triceratops goes into a charge at the elephant, it sidesteps and uses its tusks to gore the triceratops right along its belly, dealing minor damage to its core muscles. Now, the triceratops will become enraged, and the elephant will use its foe's clouded judgement to its advantage. When the triceratops goes in for another charge the elephant once again does a fakeout with its trunk and uses its tusks to take out one of the triceratops's back legs, effectively crippling it. The elephant is now on the offensive. The elephant tries to circle the now thrashing triceratops, but the lizard's tail is too much of a hazard for the elephant to even get close. So naturally, he goes for the triceratops's other side, crippling the other hind leg. It is now immobilized completely, and collapses to the ground. The triceratops's head, however, continues to thrash about, making an attack for the throat and front legs too dangerous to consider. Once again, the elephant gores the triceratops's lower side, causing severe damage to the triceratops's vital organs. In a matter of minutes the triceratops bleeds out. The elephant wins.

Elevated carbon levels made the plants grow faster, which makes them less nutritious. So herbivores back then had to eat more food just to get the same calories they'd get with much less food today.
