So..
A friend of mine has a son that works for game wardens. They have some baby deer that need "foster homes" to bottle feed them until they are old enough to go back.
Anyone have experience with this? Please share your stories.
All milk will be provided to me, and if any illness happens, they will provide medical/veterinary care.
Haven't said yes, yet. I wanted to hear opinions/personal experiences.
I would say yes in a heartbeat because deer are fucking adorable.
You know what if you don't want it i'll take it. Where you livin at I'll come pick it up.

OP here, forgot to mention:
I live in an apartment but my friend said she would come by during the day and look after it while I'm at work. Also when I get home from work I can take it outside to run and stuff
Glad to hear positive responses!
I guess I'm just nervous because I've never raised baby deer before. I have experience with kittens, puppies, baby rabbits, baby goats and human babies.
Ive been googling and it doesn't seem much different than baby goats. I think I will do it.
And I live in Northeast Texas. I don't know how many babies they need help with yet.

Lol, nice try.
If you must know, I live on 5 acres. The enclosure that the baby would be staying in is 6' x 6' with 7' high fencing. I have bigger enclosures if they think it should be in a bigger one.
Not everyone is a poor, impulsive, irresponsible animal owner in /an/, anon. :)
I don't think they would've asked me to do it if I didn't have room.
