My cantaloupe and cucumber seedling are being and decimated by some tiny fuckers.
Maybe slugs or rodents? Idk I've never grown outside before. I don't want to use any chemicals because I have rabbits and dogs that run around outside. I ruled out rabbits because it's they cant get in.

Number one cause is aphids. I think you can spray vinegar to get them away but best if you buy ladybeetles they will eat most slow leaf eating bugs like mites and aphids.

but
It doesn't look like aphid damage and i've checked under the leaves at night and day with no signs of aphids. The damage doesn't look the same either.
Looks like caterpillar damage
