Who'd win out of these two?
A polar bear is nine feet tall and has to be strong enough to drag a seal out of the water.
A grizzly bear is too dumb to even catch salmon reliably.
They should make love, not war.

Genetically they're considered the same species now that its been proven that they can breed together...here's their hybrid, they've found many of these guys already
>>2139430
just like lions and tigers amirite
or horses and donkeys
or wolves and coyotes
>>2139437
Wolves and coyotes are closer because technically coyotes are wolves and they mate regularly in the wild see: coywolf
>>2139437
No you dumbfuck, they're morphs of the same species that got geographically separated not that long ago in evolutionary history, look up the definition of a species before you act like an uneducated twat
>>2139404
Love~
>>2139430
are the hybrids sterile?
Polar bears are the biggest land predators so polar bear obviously
>>2139451
No subspecies can cross so as long as the belong to the same species. Soke species may breed but they may not produce fertile offspring as in the case with ligers. However since dogs are a subspecies of the wolf, they may breed with wolfs and still make fertile offspring.
Grizzly because the Polar bear is starving due t habitat loss

Bear with gun will win.

Species aren't purely defined by ability to produce fertile offspring. While most species can be defined by this biological species concept, some can't. Take the Large and Medium ground finches for example. They cross paths, sometimes interbreed, and produce fertile offspring. However, they are still considered two separate species. This is because something other than a biological barrier is keeping them separated into two distinct groups. This thing is natural selection. Hybrids do poorly while pure breeds do well in their respective niches, effectively keeping the two species from becoming one completely mixed, hybridized group. This is the ecological species concept.
You could also apply this to brown bears/polar bears and coyotes/wolves.
Polar bear. Always polar bear.
I have an acquaintance who works at a zoo, and he says he fears the polar bears. They know the caretakers, and they know the rounds. They switch up the rounds constantly, because they are afraid the polar bears will get them some day when they make a small mistake, or let their attenton slip for a moment.
It might all be superstition but goddamn, he fears the polar bears.

I believe in the humanity of Hutterites, even if they mostly keep to themselves and hybrids with regular humans do poorly. If I can form baby with it, it must be human.
>Hitler and you are both free to say otherwise.
>>2141666
a chimp can most likely form a baby with a human.
that doesn't make the chimp human though.

Wew lad

>likely form baby
Um... [citation needed]?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humanzee suggests that they most likely cannot. We are a bit further apart than horses and donkeys are, and thus are separate species. Still pretty sure Hutterites are human, not certain about Neanderthals. This 'ecological species' concept seems like a really pernicious idea; history teaches us that defining the species more narrowly has harsh consequences and tends to evil.

Nice try, but under the ecological species concept Hutterites are human. Their hybrids would not at all have an extreme enough fertility/mortality rate to be considered selected against and their differences between other human groups is almost entirely cultural. They are not physically adapted to some different niche like how the finch species are.

Confirmed, Hitler was right. Get oudda here with your memes, Lucy.
A grizzly is 15 feet tall and can literally uproot an entire tree and hit the polar bear on the head with it. However the polar bear can swim fast if he has a lake nearby. So it's a close call.
>>2142432
A polar bear is pretty much just a larger even more dangerous grizzly.
>>2142437
hmmm not in the movie i saw

The fucking white bear.
