I found some maggots and they are pretty neat. However, since I found them in the garbage, they smell like shit.
How do I give them a bath without killing them?
Might be fun to put them on my nipples or something for /b/.
Currently they are enjoying a fresh orance wedge. Maybe the citrusy goodness will burn off their sludge smell.
I put them into a sieve and rinsed them with warm salted water. I then rinsed them again with fresh water.
Now im looking at photos of maggots under magnification.

Worms are common in birds and can kill them.
In this case, the budgie was treated for the worms with a deworming product. All of the worms died at once and got impacted in the budgie.
Birds hide their illnesses very well, and noticing the symptoms (sleepiness, lethargy, and always hungry) were too late.
I think they are particularly deadly in tiny birds because the worms are so large in comparison. There is no way the poor budgie could have ejected the worms after deworming treatment.
