cute little buggers

Poor guys. So clumsy.
>>
>>2135951
You mean retards

>tfw bugs are so cute up close but gross looking from far away
>>
I feed these to my turtle.

That's ok right?
>>
>>2135876
I was bitten by one of these as a kid. Left my thumb swollen for years
>>
>>2136304
These physically cannot bite. You weren't bitten by any sort of june beetle. (or any insect for that matter, since not a single insect on the planet has a bite that would do that)
>>
>>2136121
They're fine for humans, dogs, cats, whatever to eat but theres always the risk that a wild insect has wandered through a patch of pesticide depending on your area and could be harmful to smaller animals. I'm in a rural area where people spray corn and wouldn't feed them.
>>
>>2135876
I know they don't do much but they still creep me out because of their size.
>>
>>2135876
We used to get swarmed with them. Easy and fun fix is to whack them with a badminton racket at people.

Hit them right, and you can hear them enter hyperspace.
>>
>>2135876
Lol those things are a blessing. I have a lot of things that eat bugs and the junebugs crash into my blinds at high velocity! They get stunned and wake up in a predators lair. The ones that survive for a long time get released
>>
>>2136346
hmmm...Then maybe its legs got stuck in my skin it something. Its really strange how I was wounded. Thanks for the clarfication.

>its legs got stuck in my skin it something
There are some wasps that actually do that on purpose, they have long tarsal claws that break off really easily after getting into skin. The "poison claws" also have some glands in them to (possibly) secrete irritants and be an even bigger asshole.

Give these things a few million years and you'll have bees with leg stingers in addition to the abdomen. Nature is evolving fucking Beedrill.

Question for /an/. I really like these June beetles and rhino beetles. I want to capture some and keep them as pets. If I were to do that, and they had some grubs, would any pesticides/parasites carry on through to the offspring? I'd like to feed the grubs to my tarantulas
>>

>bees
>surviving another score much less a million years

you're funny
>>
>>2137056
If you breed them in sterile tanks and for a few generations, I bet there is nothing to worry about.

I think buying crickets at the pet store will be easier.

>>2136640
You are surprisingly calm about that correction. Good job anon.

>>2137071
Oh no doubt crickets/roaches/mealworms are easier. But I thought it would be a fun experience plus I like to feed my t's a varied diet
>>
>>2136470
I remember fabricating a huge ass wooden sledgehammer and trying to swat them from the air when I was younger
