Everybody says that silverback gorillas have the strength of 10 people, but where did that figure come from? Is there any evidence to back that claim?
One day ten guys decided they were gonna' fight a Gorilla.

Probably not actual tests.
I think you should go jump a zoo fence into a gorilla enclosure and start swinging. Needs to be tested.
Something about how easily they drag and pull shit without even trying. IIRC they can't fight for shit and they're easily winded though.

Ten Brocks could have taken a gorilla
It's a made up figure.
Let's say the average 115lb woman can very comfortably lift 20 pounds with 1 hand. (sounds about right, yeah?)
If that figure were true, a gorilla would have to be able to casually lift 200 pounds with 1 hand. Okay, now picture a 24 gallons of milk on a pallet. A gorilla should be able to lift that with 1 hand.
No, just no. And this example doesn't even take into account male vs. female physiology, or general physical health. It's based on a thin female with no weight training.

Under normal circumstances a human can steal 0-2 cigarillos, and generally feels the need to steal none. Pic related was able to easily steal a whole box of 20!

2, maybe 3 brocks could take on a herd of silverbacks

So to be more accurate, a gorilla has the strength of more than ten men.
