My home is slowly becoming a bird sanctuary. First I buy one budgie and its not long before my brother becomes jealous and gets one too (which he almost immediately forgets about). Another bird (peachface) flies into the house to talk to our birds, we let it out and it comes back, "I guess we have another bird now".
stupid younger cousin now wants birds and buys to budgies, loses interest in them immediately and leaves my aunt to take care of them both. My aunt is a sweet woman but has no idea how to care for birds so they both remain in a tiny cage they cannot only barely move in let alone fly, but also never gets cleaned. She's been asking my family to adopt the two birds for a while now but we had to decline. Just recently one of her budgies died and the other was left lonely with no emotional support and refused to make a sound for days so we agreed to bring him in.
anyone else slowly building up a collection of animals that people were to lazy to care for?
