The main thing about Finnish Spitz is that they are not for people that want a silent dog. Finnish Spitz are hunting dogs, and were bred specifically to distract wildlife for hunters to get a shot in. They will bark at just about anything.

Negative reinforcement doesn't work on Finnish Spitz, it will just upset them and do nothing. Finnish Spitz also get really bad separation anxiety, and can become extremely attached to their owners.

Don't have a picture of her, but my friend has a Pom-Shiba mix that is very neat and foxy looking. Pale orange and tan with really eery eyes - the outer iris is almost green, and the inner an extremely dark brown.
With that mix of breeds she could have wound up a yippy, dickish little monster but friend did a great job raising her and she's awesome.
