I cant imagine them tolerating outside dogs coming in to shift THEIR herd. These dogs sleep outside and are with their herd 24/7 and will see other dogs rounding up sheep as a threat.

LGDs WILL attack ANY predator that endangers the herd. Thats why those that use LGDs remove the LGD from the herd before even attempting to bring dogs anywhere near the herd. However I did hear somewhere that LGDs can replace herding dogs to an extent.
