How do you guys take care of your dogs during tick season?

I have an exterminator roll through every two months. I also buy my dog a tick collar and have several bottles of tick killer on the ready.
We get them bad where I live, so its taken a few years for me to figure out the routine
OP, please don't post that picture around here, I'm completely sure that movie tortured lots of dogs in lots of horrible ways, it didn't get approved by the american humane association. I can't even look at that poster without wanting to puke. Delete this.
mine is on trifexus and doesn't get them to begin with, but I do give him a quick exam before we go to bed every night. for living in the willamette vally, it's been going pretty well

The vet gives me this chewable that kills any external parasite that dares bite her. In 24 hours fleas and ticks were litteraly dropping off of her as she was walking. Idk what it was called tho

Make sure to check under their joints, ticks will get underneath in the crevice between their body and leg because they know the dog can't easily reach there.

Permethrin, it's cheap as dirt and also keeps fleas off. I don't even need frontline anymore.
