My cat died today. It was 14 years old. It was laying on the couch, went to stretch and just stopped breathing.
I had to put my girl down yesterday. Wasting away from kidney and heart failure wasn't how I wanted her to go. Got her under this bigass rock she used to sit on when she was hunting rats.

He had urinary obstruction, and while the vet was washing his bladder he had a heart failure.
I was too fucking late.
He helped me go through depression. And right now was the worst possible moment he could've died, as I've had one of the worst weeks I've had in a fucking year.
I just feel like shit and drinking heavily to stop the pain.
I just loved him so fucking much. He was only 3 years old.

Same shit here, cat died a few days ago.
This is hitting me so much harder than I thought it would and whenever anything else bothered me this much I always just went to my cat, I'm trying to avoid drinking, but I really fucking need it.
I'm sorry guys. I'm gonna go hug my cats now. I hope wherever they are they're happy and no longer in pain. You'll see them again someday.

He's really old though, so the time had to come eventually.

Thank you. and my sympathies to everyone else. When I moved to a new state 14 years ago I was 10 and I found a stray that kept coming back to us. we decided to keep it and it was my first friend I had. I would always visit him during college and even when I moved out.
He was in my sister's care for the past two years and she was devastated yesterday. I really hope she'll be okay. He went peacefully which is all I really could ask for. he was almost 80 in cat years so he lived a good life

Sometimes when I miss my cat, I remember this bereavement poem. I don't think loved ones ever truly leave us when they die. With my old girl... she's the only reason I didn't kill myself a long time ago. So as long as I'm alive, part of her is too, through me.

Cats taste like squirrel. I truly believe the only way to eat a cat is to pressure cook the chunks a put it in a stew.
I had a blocked cat who eventually passed away in the litter box.

This was my cat, we had to sacrifice her because she had cancer. She lived 9 years and helped me a lot from not fall in depression from everything like school and family issues. This was the last photo I took with her.
