It was a hot day, I was having fun with my horse, she fucking loves to run barrels and poles. She really REALLY fucking loves it, and I often let her keep going after we should probably call it quits. She nearly died from heat exhaustion last summer and I beat myself up over it horribly. I probably would have killed myself if she died. I wept like a baby over her the whole time she was sick, because for a while it looked like she wouldn't pull through, but somehow she made it.
Now I feel like a dick because I don't let her run like that anymore, even though I know she fucking loves it, because I'm so afraid something like that will happen again and I'd just die if I lost her because of my own stupidity over something that I could have prevented. I raised her up from a foal, trained her myself, I've had her for nearly 20 years, she's my whole world.

Well. We put a harness on him because he's only 60 some odd pounds and I grew up with mastiffs and Rottweilers so it's nihil novum sub sole.
We don't put collars on our dogs neck because it can cause collapsing trachea. We lost one older dog when I was a kid because so much stress on their throats is not good.

The cats finally learned to fucking move. I even had to put a glow in the dark collar with a bell on my black cat. It took him 3 years to finally move his ass and not lay in the middle of the floor and even then I'm now conditioned to call him or snap my fingerswhenever I'm walking in the dark so I can echo-locate where he is.
I've accidentally elbowed the other cat like five times though but luckily she forgives quickly.

slow down nigger. I posted a photo of my pitbull/whatever mix. About two months ago, my younger brother was walking in our area and saw a dog without a collar running about. We located the owners, weed smoking hipsters, and they had been abusing him (leaving him chained up outside 24/7 and not interacting with a young puppy.
Now we have him, exercise him daily (running in the morning and walking in the evenings), just because you dont know how to successfully raise a dog does not imply the dogs inability to be civil. This pitbull has zero aggression and is quite literally as innocent as our spaniels. If another dog barks at him, he cowers and is not confrontational. He is actually a good dog. I used to call pitbulls nigger hounds, but I have now experienced a pitbull first hand and have grown to think otherwise.
Here is a list of dogs I have owned:
- 2 Neopolitan mastiff (breeder)
- 2 rottweilers (breeder)
- 2 maltese (breeder)
- 1 rottweiler chow chow mix (female rottie got humped by employees dog when no one was looking)
- 3 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (breeder)
- 1 Malamute (rescue off the side of interstate 10)
- 1 Pitbull/Dalmatian Mix (rescued off the street and from hipsters)
