some dipshit brought them to australia in the 40's to try and eat the beetles that were eating their non-native crops. not only did they not eat the beetles (how could they? they lived up in the sugar canes. toads can't fucking climb sugar canes.), but they spread halfway across australia, decimating the ecosystem

As a species, nothing, they're actually fucking incredible and one of the only species of amphibian that does amazingly well in terms of breeding and adoption to terrestrial life.
As an introduced pest they are a fucking ecological nightmare and annoying as fuck for anyone with a dog in the tropical regions. Nothing eats them (a few odd stories aside) and they are everywhere.
