So I just went and introduced all my new fish from Walmart and petco into my established tank. Worried about ick. Used aquarium salt and put a heater that goes to 80 degrees. Will this kill the ick or just put it into remission? Is it likely my fish will get ick

Even if your aquarium has ich your fish won't contract it as long as they're healthy and well nourished.

Thanks

What I'm asking is if it's likely to eradicate all ick by raising the temperature

What I'm asking is if it's likely to eradicate all ick by raising the temperature. So even when temp goes down again there's no infection.

Ich is always going to be there no matter what. Keep the fish healthy and clean. There's a aquarium general if you have more questions.

No, 80F isn't hot enough to kill ich. Would just speed up the lifecycle
