They don't hurt humans though, even though they could wreck our shit.

They're kawaii panda dolphins, minus the rape.

but Sea World
>>
>>2042474
>Don't hurt humans
Nigga, they're the wolves of the sea. They are dangerous, and wouldn't be surprised if one would eat you if it was hungry enough. They aren't picky when food is scarce.
>>
>>2042479
curse you seaworld!
let the orcas roam free

>>2042468
Meme animal.

When I was a kid I thought the white mark was their eye, which would be terrifying if it were true.
>>

>Tilikum
Poor thing.
He probably begged and moaned for years to no response. And even after killing a few nigger they still make him jump hoops.
>>
>>2042474
There's a Wikipedia page detailing killer whale attacks on humans, but the fatalities only took place when the whale was in captivity.
>>
They're asholes 2bh, they play with their prey and then they kill it
>>
Killer
>>
>>2042468
They're actually quite sadistic
>>
>>2042640
Theres a strangely small amount of attacks on humans considering they're the apex ocean predator
>>
>>2042956
Maybe because humans don't usually go SWIMMING IN THE FUCKING ARCTIC OCEAN

What's your favorite type of killer whale, /an/?

Mine is the subantarctic.

>tiny eye marking
>big, rounded head
>mysterious
>steal fish off lines
>>
I don't understand the hype
>>
>>2042971
I didn't know there were this many types. That's pretty cool.
>>
>>2042971
Do you have something like this but with sperm whales?
>>
>>2043517
Dude that's a wierd fettish>>2043517
>>
>>2042959
They are in every ocean on the world though...
>>
>>2042959
Shackleton's Antarctic expedition hated killers because a hunting method was to crash up through the ice looking at the shadow of a seal. Looking through ice and snow, they couldn't tell a human from a seal.

How do you think I saw them before?

I absolutely went to sea world today and got to view these majestic niggers.
>>
>>2042474
maybe they have killed hundreds.. but never leave survivors to tell the tale
>>
>>2044602
im pretty sure it was leopard seal and not killer whale.

They are surprisingly too intelligent to confuse us for penguins or seals.

There's never been a documented orca attack on a human in the wi-

Orcas are literally sea niggers

Nah, pilot whales are.

Orcas are way too intelligent.

I did a research paper on cetacean relationships to sound last semester. Apparently some species of porpoise have evolved to click in frequencies just beyond orca hearing range so they don't get eaten, like an inter-species covert ops. :^)

Also orcas have related groups of families -- I think they're called clans -- with slightly differing dialects of calls. These groups' vocabularies evolve over time after branching off from that common clan to be similar, but not identical. They end up sharing some common 'words' they'll all recognize when they meet up. Pretty fuckin neato!

>>2042627
I think that may be the point. It's supposed to look like an eye and could intimidate other animals. Isn't that true for a lot of species?

>>2048762
holy carp, poor thing

Imagine that washing up on the shore.
Absolutely alien.
>>
Why are they so nice to us most of the time?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZQGAAsT3fY
They could just throw over that boat to get that snack.
>>
Orcas are intelligent and respect other intelligent beings. They het curious on that high concious being. A big problem is that whales bite when they play.
>>
>>2046478
Depends on those conditions, but I can see if there was four inches of ice, with an inch dusting of snow, they just see a dark mass moving around.
>>
>>2051717
It seems like the more intelligent a species is the greater its capacity for cruelty.
