Hey /an/ I'm about to start working at a wildlife center and I just wanted know if anybody works there if you had advice handling or calming down animals.

I know they are going to train me but just want to hear from /an/ since I know a lot of people here work at some and could use some firsthand advice.
They want to eventually put me with birds of prey and I just wanted to know whats the best way to handle birds or to calm and bond with animals. They want me to do education with a red tailed hawk.

Can't you just hood it to calm it?

You can I just wanted to get advice from people with first hand experience. Not just about birds but anything relating to working at a refuge place and stories.
