There has been a toad living on my porch for a couple months now.
It's great!

toads are fucking awesome. does he have shelter?

It's pretty barren. My back yard is just an empty backyard with 2 trees and then a small concrete pad at my back door. I don't know where he goes when it's not day, but at the other end of the back yard is like a swampy nature preserve so I imagine back there somewhere.
I leave the porch light on at night to attract bugs for him to eat
I love toads. That guy looks cool but he's really thin! If you want to you should keep him as a pet or something.
This is my fat little bastard, Nubbins

no its not this species of toad is generally small with a visible ridge
There are frogs that live in my pond, they're great fun but my dog bullies them whenever she sees them.

It looks like an american toad.

It's a Southern Toad. It's certainly not full size buts it not emaciated

I have them living on my carport. They hang around where the lights are and eat bugs all night.
If the toad in the pic is the one living on your porch i feel sorry for the poor little thing. Its starving.

This. Their weight can fluctuate greatly in a couple days depending on how much noms they can catch.
