Hey, /an/. I found this fungus growing in my backyard, and have never seen it before in my area. I live in southern New Hampshire, US. Wondering if anyone has a clue as to what they are.
Pic related, another one. When I touched it, it released this puff of brown air.

it's a stepped on puff ball
the "brown air" is it's spores being released

It's a puffball. But whatever you do, don't breathe the spores or get them in your eyes. You could die or go blind.

Back in the day hippies would snort that brown stuff to take a psychedelic trip.
Young ones (thoroughly white) are edible and rather tasty.

It's a tuft of The Unstumpable Trump's hair, fallen out whilst campaigning.
Save it and wear it, that you too may become Unstumpable.
Lycoperdon or Calvatia species of puffball mushroom. The spores are alright to breathe in as long as you are not snorting them, given you don't have AIDS/HIV or are immunocompromised. Look for little white balls in the area, they are young ones. Watch them mature, it is interesting and surprisingly fast. If you posted a picture of one that wasn't stepped on, I could ID it to species name.

There was someone in Undertale General that posted about fucking a puffball.

The giant puffball species, Calvatia gigantea, would totally be fuckable if you found one.
