I have a male pit bull purebred. He's a pretty chill guy most of the time, but whenever he sees another dog, he starts screaming and freaking out; even if the other dog isn't doing anything to him, or reacting to him at all.

How do I get him to calm down around other dogs? Or should I just take him to a trainer?

This is total bullshit. Mine doesn't do that. All he does is wag his tail and wants to go play.
Now if they say its ok and he goes over there and the other dog gets aggressive then its a different story.

Take control of your dog. A stern NO and turn him around and get him to focus on something else like a toy.
