Some I just got this puppy for christmas. As far as breed I'm not too sure. The givers said she had a quarter wolf in her and one of her parents was lab.
You guys have any tips as far training and raising her? I have a sort of companionated-take-her-most-places idea for her.
I guess we can start off with the DON'Ts of dog raising. What are the most common mistakes and misconceptions you see in the most ordinary house hold environment
She's not a quarter wolf. Try clicker training lots of sites

Would you say clicker training yields better results as opposed to treat based rewards. Should I do both or is it one of those trial and error sort of things
>>2023402
Well the clicker is there to let them know they did something you want and then they get a treat, affection, whatever. Like I said there's tons of hood information on clicker training on YouTube or stuff.
How old is she?

How would I go about figuring out her breed make up I'm sure there's specialists.

A little over 8 weeks.

Actually, I don't believe there is. She's a genuine mutt, I doubt she's even 25% anything.
Go read Dunbar's before/after you get your puppy (free PDF online), and bookmark Kikopup (youtube channel). That'll be a good start.
Then get yourself enrolled in a local dog training school.
Oh, and get some insurance. I doubt the parents were health tested, and if she does have any lab in her/anything big then HD/ED would be one of my major worries right now along with a plethora of other genetic defects. Hope you didn't pay much/anything for her OP.
>giving people puppies for christmas
literally the irresponsible gift you can give

Walk her out every hour for a week.
Praise her like mad when she pisses/shits outside and give her a treat.
Raise her as you would your daughter: punish her when she does something good and encourage her when she does something good

This.
Don't limit it to just the backyard, my parents and I did that and our 4 month old never fucking does it outside until we take him to the backyard
