Who /fish/ here? Freshwater and/or saltwater. Best hobby ever. Where I fish regularly is freshwater. We go saltwater fishing about 2 times a year.
Redfish, bass, catfish, and the occasional snapper are what we usually catch most of the time.

What does swordfish taste like? Do you have to prepare it a certain way. Asking because I know sharks are ammoniated and have to drain and be thoroughly cleaned. Do they have a similar issue? >>2022108
Me either man. I love fishing when it's warmer. I'm in Houston. We usually go to lake Livingston or Galveston to fish on the weekends.
Anyone here catch alligator?

OP here. You need to check this website. In regards to Lake Livingston, the ship channel, and other areas. They Just put out a fish consumption advisory on 7 types of fish. Something to do with dioxins and PCBs. I know exactly where lake Livingston is. I heard it's because the increased levels are from all the rains and water flowing thru the dam. Something got contaminated somewhere. It fucking sucks. Just read up on it is all I'm saying.

/fish/ here.
I recently started fishing last summer, only for about a month until it became cold again. I live in the EST of USA.
I honestly find fishing so enjoyable. It's peaceful, you enjoy scenery while you test your limits of a life and death struggle between man and fish. I can't wait until summer comes again.
Pic related is my favorite fishing spot at the Deleware River, I have an interesting fishing story if anyone is ears.

I like going to new places and getting drunk on a boat with my friends, but fishing never did anything for me.

>interesting fishing story
Yes, Do tell
I fish salt and freshwater but I haven't gone in a long time. Tropical (Gulf of Mexico) and in my home state (Alaska). It's a fun hobby. I recently got into kayaking so I'm hoping to set up a fishing kayak and go out on the Guadalupe soon after I get my license.
Anyone /ice fishing/ here? I did it once... it's interesting.
