Okay /an/ I just got a new job as dog handler/trainer/babysitter. I'm on my sixth day today and this job is trying my patience. At any given time I have 15 dogs (yesterday upwards of 25) in a pack setting.
Does anyone have advice on how to be a better trainer/handler? I find I lose my patience easily, especially when it comes to the smaller dogs picking on the larger dogs, and then having to stop the larger dogs from stomping wee lil dachshunds into jelly.
Any advice for a starter dog trainer/handler?
I worked in a kennel setting previously, and as is common sense, dealing with one dog is easier than dealing with 15-25 at a time.
Pls halp, I love the dogs and I love this job but it drives me up the fucking walls. It's like babysitting a shit ton of toddlers, it's hilarious but extremely taxing mentally.
