What are some pets you eventually want to acquire?
A starling.
>>2006986
i can smell the buttered popcorn from here
A saltwater puffer-fish. Some day
>>2006986
>eventually
Is this list only for animals we can actually get as a pet? Or for animals we want.
Because i'd love a giant tortoise, but it's illegal in Aus so it can't happen
>>2007006
Big, but realistic dreams .
>>2006996
When I get one, I'm naming it Poppers.
A pair of fixed, descented Zorillas.
hedgehog
love those little fuckers
>>2007033
Idiot question:
What's the difference between that and a skunk?
>>2007050
They're in the weasel family, not the skunk family. And unlike skunks, they're purely carnivorous. Supposedly their spray smells worse, too.
Blue tongue skink. It's not a problem to get one, I just don't have space for it in current housing.
A Gambian pouched rat.
A grizzly bear that wouldn't maul me the first chance it had.
A tenrec. It's pretty much just like an hedgehog, but without shitting everywhere, spitting on himself and being a little bitch.
My dream would be a tamarin monkey which will probably never happen, because I don't think I could get one, because they'd be expensive, because they'd probably make shitty pets ETC.
My more realistic dream pet would be a toucan, but I don't think I'll ever have the money for one.

Lungfishes, especially Neoceratodus
>>2007081
lol, it's treadwells wet dream. I bet this is what he hoped would happen in that encounter.
>>2007081
how does he know how to supress his incredible power
Capybara
A crow.
>>2007238
From what I heard, they're actually quite easy to care for. Something along the idea of a goat that loves you like a dog.
>>2007345
Also, they're cute as beans.
>>2007201
I'm pretty sure there's no primate/monkey that makes a good pet.
>>2007671
Human baby, breed: Chinese. Perfect primate pet.
>>2006986
Really want a striped hyena, African wild dogs, maned wolf, timber wolf, black wolf, coyote, dingo... Basically I want dogs...
>>2007677
I must find a breeder and acquire one immediately.
>>2007677
Hyenas are cat branch Carnivores and aren't like dogs at all. They're notoriously difficult to train as well.
A sloth and a toucan.
Always thought a skunk would be nifty. Don't worry though, it will never happen.
>>2007928
Male spotted hyenas aren't, but its expensive/difficult to contain them because spotted hyenas are very destructive.
>>2007928
I'll bear that in mind for when I actually get a hyena for my little two bedroom house in the suburbs....
>>2007943
Isn't the entire issue with spotted hyenas the way their dominance works?
I remember hearing somehing a while back about how it supposedly isn't really possible to be seen as dominant in a hyenas eyes unless you beat the shit out of it, or it sees you doing that to others etc etc
>>2007213
the bear doesn't have down's syndrome and can control his strength
>>2006986
Raven, or American kestrel.
>>2008029
Just give it a bit of SSSHHT it'll know you're alpha.
>>2008029
I heard they actually have an unusually chill temperament if raised from a cub. Something like a non-human roommate that tolerates you.
>>2007931
Actually one of the most precious things.
I want a Nile Monitor! Actually I'm planning on getting one but I just don't have the space right now. Well... I really want a Komodo Dragon but those are kinda endangered and illegal.
>>2009414
Sameeeee, I want to get one too. There's just something about them I've always been so drawn to..
Forgot what they were called but one of these guys.
>>2009626
>5 year top
They live longer than that.
Even well taken guinea pigs can really easily live 6 years.
>>2006986
A pair of ferrets from a good breeder. I love the idea of owning a ferret, but the ones in pet stores are from awful mills. They spay and neuter when the babies are practically newborns and it causes health issues later in life. :(
I'd also enjoy having a small herd of mini cattle.
I want to adopt a wolfdog from a sanctuary. I don't have the land and 10' fence those animals require, but someday I will.
>>2009448
I want to someday find someone who loves me as much as this bear loves its owner.
I want an Argentine tegu! My dog is 40 lb so I think they'd get along fine.
A lynx or a camel
If I had the money to get a big backyard and build a good enclosure for them, I'd get some lemurs.
>>2009957
>owner.
That's the bear's driver.
>>2006986
Probably a Koala. An STD-free Koala with plenty of comfy to sleep in most of the day.
Shame they age really really poorly.
Sperm Whale or an Orca.
One of these.
>>2007674
Why do you think that? At what point would you say your thoughts exhibit extreme outlooks on anyone? Because you can't thrive on hate.
>>2007369
https://youtu.be/1DFbqKLgDzE
I really want a tree swallow ;n;
>>2011979
> STD-free
Elaborate.
>>2007081
Grizzlys will always eventually fuck you up, they're just too hormonal/territorial. You could try a black bear though, they're a lot calmer, and Vikings actually did keep them as pets for a period.
Always, always wanted to be a falconer. In my wildest dreams I'd want a saker or a gyrfalcon. A goshawk would be nice too, even though they're supposed to be absolutely psychotic.
>>2013909
THEYRE NOT DROP BEARS, THEYRE CLAP BEARS
>>2013965
Always wear a condom on your head when hiking in Australia.
