I live in South Louisiana. The little white flowers only bloom in winter and attract bees by the hundreds. I love watching them fly around while I walk my dog. I just want to know what kind it is.
There were a lot of big flies (not horse flies) on the flowers today too
If only we had someone on /an/ who was an expert on bugs and plants.
looks like juniper :DDD
herbololologoy n boggues boggues boggues :DDD
im the bug guy haha
Looks like loquat to me. Can you give us some flower close-ups? Ever seen it bearing fruit?

Junipers are coniferous -- that isn't a juniper, you ignorant twat.
OP, does the plant get any sort of fruit later in the year? Spring/early summer? If so, describe them.
it's Eriobotrya japonica.
Here are the flowers
I don't remember for sure if they had fruit but I want to say it might have had little, green, fig-like fruit

yeah that's Eriobotrya japonica.
their fruit is edible.

Look at you, on a roll! IDing all these Rosaceae species by yourself.
I second this ID. The dark glossy leaves and brown pubescence you can see on the leaf underside in the close up picture confirm it.
Thanks guys

Don't be mad, I was really happy for you, since you have been wrong often lately. And with so many possible species being posted in both threads, it helps the OP know which is correct when more than one person posts it.
Also, I can see that any plant knowledge you have seems to be related to species common to the horticultural trades... Did you work in a nursery for a season or two and think that makes you a botanist?
Also, don't try to create errors out of nothing in my post. Binomial nomenclature refers to a naming convention based off of a set of two words that make up a species name: the genus and the specific epithet.
Saying 'Rosaceae species' has nothing to do with binomial nomenclature, and is not incorrect, (though admittedly sloppy grammar,) as both plant species are members of the Rosaceae family. Jeez.
