Who /blackcat/ here?
What if there was a cat so black that it literally absorbed all light and was visible only as a depthless void?

it's super bright in my room because of an extra lamp, normally you can't see my cat's face in pictures

I have a black cat, love her and her kitty antics to bits. She's 4 years old (almost 5) but still as playful as a kitten.

My parents just got a black cat from a rescue a couple months ago. (pic related)
I can't get a good picture of her when I visit, either. House lights are too dark.
>Planning on painting a portrait of her for my father for xmas, since I did one of their other cat last year and he liked it.
>She's just a black void with moon eyes
>This might take a while
she died tho :[
Mine passed away over the summer...
My boy squishes himself anywhere he can fit. Love this cat.

As a kid. Name was Pooky. He was about a two years old I think when we got him from the pound. Never did find out why he'd been put up for adoption, but he had a name already so we kept it.
He lived another 13 years. I miss that cat. Still dream about him sometimes (he's been dead about 13 years now)
Mines sharing the bed with the rest of the pets.

hi bamf
Seal point cats are black cats with the pointed pattern.
Silver tabby cats are black cats with the tabby gene and a modifier that hides all brown pigment.
Shaded silver cats are black cats with a gene that limits pigment to the end of the hair shaft. The gene can be effected by several modifiers, resulting in cats that can appear almost white to almost black. Those cats that look very dark are called smoke.
Smoke cats are at the other end of the shaded spectrum. These cats may appear completely black until you part the hair, revealing a grey-white under color. Smoke is most easily seen on long haired cats.
Black cats with the dilute gene are blue.
Black cats with the ch gene are chocolate
Black cats that have the dilute gene AND the ch gene are lilac. As you can imagine, lilac cats are not common
