So I got my 6 month old puppy half socialized?
He HATES dog parks but like sniffing dogs at petsmart and playing with dogs smaller than him in puppy classes. He's 11 pounds and cool around aloof/non hyper dogs.
How can I help him like the small dog park?
He gets intimidated when other dogs play as rough as he does with people

He gets scared when a dog turns around and chases him back.
He gets scared if a dog reacts to his presence (postively) vs a dog just standing there trying to ignore him

He runs if a dog starts to show interest in interacting with him (obviously terrified, not trying to play)and it triggers some predatory instincts in some dogs and the whole thing ends badly.

Sounds like he's just confused as to what to do, maybe.
I'm no expert, but if I were you, I would start him off interacting with dogs similar in size for him (other puppies, if possible) so he can get used to the concept of "hey, these guys are like me and they're pretty okay". Then gradually move him up to bigger dogs.

If you know people or dogs you should see how he reacts with dogs hes familiar with.
