don't worry, once they rid the planet of the pesky white man, no one will stand in their way when it comes to genociding all of the species.

>From Dog Farms in South Korea to New Lives as Pets Abroad

>Highlights
on his farm in a valley southeast of Seoul, Mr. Gong, 55, also raises dogs for their meat.

Humane Society International... is offering financial incentives to farmers — $2,000 to $60,000 depending on the number of dogs involved — who give up their animals to be adopted as family pets in the United States and elsewhere and switch to other livelihoods, like growing pepper or blueberries.

Seems like the nation is slowly evolving itself and solving its own problem. The younger generation is shying away from eating dog and cultural attitudes towards dog meat in south Korea are becoming more intolerant of the practice. Eventually it won't be financially viable to run such farms and they will mostly all but disappear.

So why is the US intervening? Aren't we over_loaded with our own stray and unwanted pet population, why the fuck are we importing more? And I saw nothing in the article about quarantine procedure for bringing in these new dogs, isn't...

>lets spend a lot of mone to take dog farm mutts who probably have shitloads of genetic problems and put them in overpopulated american shelters so they can be euthanized instead of being slaughtered for their meat!
Who is this supposed to help exactly?
>>
>>2124803
I don't even see why the US should care. One, we have a big enough stray dog problem as it is. Two, who are we to say someone can't eat a dog?

My wolf spider suddenly decided to spin a web in a corner and she hides behind it. Does not move, and does not show any interest in catching whatever gets stuck in it. She took 2 days to build it. I have no fucking idea what's going on. Help!

Im not saying its a bad thing, with the statistical demographic of home invaders and burglars in my country it jusy strikes me as strange as we never have contact with people of colour really.

My dog almost bit a water sanitation guy, so sometimes a racist dog can be bad depending on who's the black guy.

So I got fucked up by a cat yesterday. Not the one in the pic.

I was holding my mom's cat and she turned the vacuum on.

I woke up today with it swollen and throbbing.
Can't even bend it.

Oh yeah, you need to go to the doctor, brah.

Get a shot of antibiotics. Had this happen to me a year ago. It'll get super infected if you don't.

If you have good health insurance you might also want to get x-rays done.

>tfw it was cheaper for me to go to the doctor and get xrays, antibiotics, and see a specialist than it was to get antibiotics for my cat after it got bit.

Cat bites usually get infected. It's basically a puncture would + a shit ton of bacteria

go to the hospital and get on ABC's

2 MB,
Hello /an/

Just went through a very hard and depressing day. Had to put down my 15 year old, 2 weeks shy of 16, Dalmatian today. Covered in tumors, could barely keep in her excrements, cataracts in both eyes, and today she could no longer stand.

She's been the light in the dark for me, ever since we rescued her when I was but 8 years old and it's hard knowing I won't wake up tomorrow and see her. She's lived past three other dogs, and has been an absolute soldier.

Could we maybe get an old dog thread, maybe talk about our last moments...

One of the most beautiful things about love is that even when the person is gone, they still are there with us.
Remember the good times, celebrate her memory

When my little one was dying, just before my dad came to take him to the vet to have him put to sleep, I sat out in the garden with him.
It was a sunny day and it was just nearing sunset and I just stroked his fur for a long time.
I think about that a lot.

We classic name again.

Not too many creatures can claim to be “one of a kind,” but that’s a boast the tuatara can make. In fact, the tuatara is one of the most unique animals in the world. Although it looks like a lizard, it really is quite different. Found in New Zealand only, the tuatara’s closest relatives are an extinct group of reptiles around at the time of the dinosaurs. This is why some scientists refer to tuataras as “living fossils.”

Things to keep in mind:

Anyone here grow mushrooms as a hobby? is it any fun? I'm thinking about picking it up. I'd love to be able to grow something like this in a pot, maybe along with a few different colours of mushrooms, make a nice arrangement.

Anywhere I can read about Fungus and all their weird little features? I've always wondered why they secrete fluid like that, or why certain mushrooms have certain structures, like a net mushroom. But any guide websites I find only really focus on if they're edible or not.

Mushrooms grow in dark and humid places, you won't be able to display them, you know.
