Seems like the nation is slowly evolving itself and solving its own problem. The younger generation is shying away from eating dog and cultural attitudes towards dog meat in south Korea are becoming more intolerant of the practice. Eventually it won't be financially viable to run such farms and they will mostly all but disappear.
So why is the US intervening? Aren't we over_loaded with our own stray and unwanted pet population, why the fuck are we importing more? And I saw nothing in the article about quarantine procedure for bringing in these new dogs, isn't...

If you have good health insurance you might also want to get x-rays done.

Hello /an/
Just went through a very hard and depressing day. Had to put down my 15 year old, 2 weeks shy of 16, Dalmatian today. Covered in tumors, could barely keep in her excrements, cataracts in both eyes, and today she could no longer stand.
She's been the light in the dark for me, ever since we rescued her when I was but 8 years old and it's hard knowing I won't wake up tomorrow and see her. She's lived past three other dogs, and has been an absolute soldier.
Could we maybe get an old dog thread, maybe talk about our last moments...

When my little one was dying, just before my dad came to take him to the vet to have him put to sleep, I sat out in the garden with him.
It was a sunny day and it was just nearing sunset and I just stroked his fur for a long time.

Anyone here grow mushrooms as a hobby? is it any fun? I'm thinking about picking it up. I'd love to be able to grow something like this in a pot, maybe along with a few different colours of mushrooms, make a nice arrangement.
Anywhere I can read about Fungus and all their weird little features? I've always wondered why they secrete fluid like that, or why certain mushrooms have certain structures, like a net mushroom. But any guide websites I find only really focus on if they're edible or not.
