Bump
Hey /an/ recently got a leopard gecko and I was curious about something, he crawls underneath his carpet all the time and will only stay out of it if I hold him is this normal?, as well he doesn't seem to be eating much I feed him live crickets and mealworms, is there something I'm doing wrong?
>>2127337
There should be three hides in tank; one warm side, one cool side, one moist (with damp paper towels). How are your temperatures?
Offer food as normal. As long as he's eating he's fine. Only bring out of tank to hold 2-3 times per week, 15-30 minutes per time max.
>>2127337
can you post a photo of your tank?
This is the tank
I'm Planing on going on a small 5 mile hike, thinking about taking my dog. He is over 2 years old and is 75 pounds. How much water and food should I pack for him?. Any tips will be great too, I'm searching for a day pack for him now.
And his normal walks are 2 miles.
>>2127216
What the fuck? Do you not know how much food your dog eats?
>>2127216
Bump but don't ever force him to walk when he is tired, OP.
I've been thinking about getting a dog who can accompany me on hikes too, good luck on this OP.
Do you think a T-Rex could be tamed if raised from birth?
>>2127185
yes, just like crocodiles can.
Duh, of course they can.
>>2127185
Yep,might need a muzzle,and electric collar, where there's a will there's a way.
Thinking of adopting this dogger. He has one eye and he is mixed breed but it doesn't specify what breeds he is. Can any of you tell me?? Ty
papillon maybe
Might be a staff and a boxer
Pls /an/ I need help
My bird is really sweet and tame when he's with me and does whatever trick I learned him to do but whenever he sees himself in a mirror or when he's with other birbs for a while he straight up ignores me and bites really fucking hard if I even get my finger close to him.
He bites so hard that I have puncture holes in my finger. Why the fuck does he do this?
Only way I can get him back in his cage is by grabbing him and controlling his beak so he doesn't perforate my fingers but then he just gets angry at me for the rest of the day...
He's...

Does he have a partner?
>>2127004
No but he gets more than enough attention from me and other family members though.
>>2127003
What does he do when he is 'angry at you'?
Sounds like he wants to be around his own species more? Is he also less affectionate to you when he has been around other tiels or a more?

Kill yourself and you probably will respawn as one.
Was doing research stuff on freshwater amphipods and one of my samples had these little six legged critters floating on the water surface.
They are about 1 to 2 mm long. Found at lake Waihola newzealand. Are they some sort of insect larval stage?
Photo was taken through the lens of a dissecting microscope.
Here is a video. It is very shaky. It was difficult to take a stable video, as I was recording this with a tablet camera.

I have also included a picture of an amphipod infected by parasite maritrema poulini, shown as a black circle within the body.

I live on the top floor of an apartment complex and honestly don't get too many insects in my place. The occasional silver fish or spider but when I was dropping a dumpski in the dark, I saw this thing in my bathtub, thought it was a silver fish, turned the light on and holy shit!?
Anyone know what this thing is?

Looks like some variant of a house centipede.
Just a centipede.
Harmless, pretty much everything you could even potentially find that has wandered in is harmless. Except bedbugs, those will fuck you over.
>>2125991
Is it a baby? It's not very big, the size of a silver fish maybe 1.5 inches.
Check out my mothbro. He's been hanging out in my bathroom the past few days. I gave him some water yesterday cause he looked thirsty but he is still sticking around. Do you think he is hungry? What do moths eat? What should I do with him?
moth general btw

Depends on species
But I'd add some fine ground sugar into the water you put out
Most male moths eat nectar
Hey /an/ I found 6 baby bunnies while I was raking the yard yesterday. Maybe a week old, eyes open really active and jumpy. In an attempt to keep the local cats away from from I gathered them up and placed them in a box in my backyard. I checked the nesting area last in the night and the mother was hanging around.
I brought the litter back to the nest but they didnt want to stay in and all ran in different directions. I left them alone and figured the mother would handle it.
I come back in the morning and they are all huddled in the corner of the yard in plain...

Tbh, op, make rabbit stew. They're probably tender and delicious.
>>2125852
They are grown enough to take care of themselves.
Let nature take its course or keep them as pets, and or give them to a Chinese restaurant.
>>2125852
obvious thing would be to contact your local wildlife rescue if you're that worried about their safety. they'll take them off your hands and move them to a more appropriate spot
So, my sister found this puppy thrown away in a box at her workplace's dumpster. She brought it home because no way would we leave a dog to starve in a box.
He has fleas and a hernia (I'll post pics of the hernia next) but he is strangely gentle and has enjoyed playing with or Maltese (who loves him too) and enjoys sitting in people's laps and licking them. What I want to know:
Why do you think this dog was thrown away?
What breed/mix do you think he is?
What should we do to make sure he's healthy (vet already accounted for)?
His umbilical hernia
>Why do you think this dog was thrown away?
Because people are idiots who don't spay or neuter their pets and then when they finally end up with puppies, instead of making a trip to the shelter would much rather just dump them in the garbage next door.
Good on you for helping the pup. Just keep taking care of him until you get him checked out.
>>2125754
either this, or they impulse-buy a cute puppy, and then they realize that puppies will inevitably shit in your house, bite you and ruin your possessions and dump them.
as for the breed/mix, it's a bit early to tell, also your pics don't give good indication of paw size. if he has large paws he could be a rottie mix.
