Hey /an/... What's some good food I can give my cat to bulk up a little? He's got a big frame, but he's quite thin. I'm hesitant to give him actual meat or liver or anything like that as he has sort of a sensitive stomach.
Unless your vet thinks he's too thin, he's likely a healthy weight and you should keep him as such. On a healthy cat you should be able to easily feel his ribs, and maybe even see them if he's breathing heavily or stretching. You should be able to slightly feel his hip bones and the seam on his shoulder blades. I would estimate that 95% of pet cats are overweight, so don't judge based on how other cats look
This is my cat Nero.
Today he was behind the couch laying really flat and looking scared.
When I pulled the couch out he ran under my bed.
He won't even come out for treats which he prior to today he was flat out addicted to.
I'm gonna take him to the vet but do you have any idea whats wrong?
We put on him flea drops 2 days ago, frontline plus I believe.
Could that be it?
Could have just had a bad fright. If there was a loud noise outside, new person in the house, or something like that it could have just scared him. Is he exhibiting any other symptoms? Fast breathing, twitching, panting, dilated eyes, anything at all really?
Honestly, I don't think he needs to go to the vet unless the behavior persists. Something could have just startled him and he's hiding from it. Neighbor could have made a loud noise when you weren't paying attention and it freaked him out.
Worst documentaries featuring dinosaurs and prehistoric beasts?
One of the comments here jokingly mentioned a pillow version of a dunkelosteus. I've been trying to find one ever since. Does such a thing exist? I'm about to give up and just order a daki
Go on etsy, find some furry that makes fuck pillows, pay them money. Sorry I was unaware that when you said pillow, you meant something you could fuck. I figured it was just poor english and you meant something like a plushie.
What animal are you most afraid of /an/?
Mine is pic rel. Every year or so I rewatch frozen planet and remember how horrifying these guys are.
buT HOW COULD YOU NOT LIKE THESE
Centipedes. They are always active, nervous and fast, and can literally sense you through walls. I wouldn't want to be chased by one.
Jellyfish. A simple organism with sometimes lethal dosage of venom. And the thing is, they can't move on their own. I had to deal with a swarm when I went SCUBA diving. It was a miracle that I didn't get stung.
what kind of pets would suit a 1 room student living?
so far i am thinking the usual rats, hamster, mice. but i would like to know more about all the different pet options there are.
Are Caterpillars and Butterflies the same living creature?
I was watching a David Atattenborough documentary on flying creatures and he mentioned something about butterflies that got me thinking.
Are they the same living creature? You hear about the story of the caterpillar turning into a beautiful butterfly but I always imaged the metamorphosis would be like a pokemon evolving or a digimon digivolving.
But reading up on it seems the caterpillar dies and another living creature the butterfly is born from it's corpse like a phoenix.
I am not sure...

How do i get more of the winged bee lobsters to come near my house?
Is this spider venomous? It landed on my leg and bit the shit out of me.
Sorry for the poor quality.
did it look like this?
if so you're fucked.
>born too late to explore the world
>born too early to explore the galaxy
>born just at the right time to witness the largest creatures to have ever roamed the world
Show whales some respect
I'm thinking of owning a coyote and I'd like to hear about /an/'s experiences with such a project.
I know it's become somewhat of a new trend to take wounded, injured, rehabbed coyotes and adopt them as you would a dog (with the proper attention of course). I have an opportunity to take ownership of a ~2yr old coyote that got trapped in a chicken coop a month ago. By all accounts the people who to this day have the coyote think it's done a reasonable job of adapting and even befriending their dog (not the cat though).
tldr; I want to buy...

It will be skittish, maybe scared enough to aggression, will kill your cat if left alone with it,band may never trust or bond to you. Might even be tough to get it to behave with your dog. If you really want a coyote your very best chance is getting a young pup. Actually I think getting a wolf or fox pup would be slightly better dude (but they're all shit pets)
You can't keep it inside or it will pee and destroy everything. Think of it as being in a zoo, not your companion, especially an adult. I don't know if neutering would help
Can anyone identify this spider? Found on the sidewalk at my home in Texas (DFW). I've checked multiple online databases for Texas and surrounding stated and turned up nothing. Thanks in advance.
the pattern seems fairly variable, maybe check other Castianeira
I got my kitten (Henry) who is about 4 maybe almost 5 weeks old this past Thursday and he hasn't pooped yet. I stimulates his anus and genitals and he usually pees but has not pooped. He still almost exclusively bottle feeds compared to his sister (Freya) from the same litter who is pooping and peeing by herself and is eating about 50/50 bottle fed and wet food. Can any anons give me any ideas as to what's going on? Pic is of Henry on right looking small and Freya left looking healthy as he'll.
