>>2129087 Here's what to do: >Feed the cats for a few days to earn their trust >When they let you close enough, grab them and put them in a sack >Place some rocks in the sack and tie up the top of the sack >Throw sack in river >Feel good knowing how much wildlife you've just saved.
looks like an inca dove, was probably attacked by a predator but take it to a wildlife rehab if any nearby, if not i'd keep it until the feathers grow back and release, hopefully it didn't get infected by whatever attacked
that's a crow m8. in flight the easiest way to tel the difference is the shape of the tail. crows have a smooth semi-circle curve at the end of the tail. ravens have more of a diamond shape that comes to a point in the middle.
heres a great pyrenees purebred thats available at my local shelter for only 100 dollars. the catch is he doesnt do well around other dogs or small children. that doesnt effect me, however in august i am moving in with a friend that has a cat. does anyone have this type of dog or have any knowledge on it? it seems a steal but i dont want to come home to a dead cat
If you find a decent dog behavourist. anything is possible. We went to our obedience class last night and they had a dog their that acted as an alpha and basically chilled all the other dogs out just by ignoring them and if they didnt take the hint there were some air snaps.
We had about 12 dogs in the hall and the mood just dropped from tense to relaxed after that, really interesting for us and our dogs.
What do you feed him? If it's your typical seed diet it tends to be very salty, which means he will drink more water. The bottles also tend to just drip. If he isn't overweight, you don't feed him so much sugar and salt its probably just the bottle.
>come home to dog standing over puddle of vomit >take her out, she has diarrhea >not that unusual, keep an eye on her >next day, more diarrhea >doesn't even eat treats, refuses to go on walks (very unusual) >just lies on floor shivering >panic, call vet, they'll squeeze us in >carry... My dog used to do this. To teach it the error of its ways, I borrowed a puppy and brought it home, as soon as it appeared to develop a limp, I made a big deal about it in front of my dog, then pretended to take the puppy behind the shed to shoot it. While I loudly filled in a pre dug hole, the owner was passed his unharmed puppy, never to be seen by my dog again.
I then returned to my house and hugged my dog, telling him how awesome it was that he was well so I didn't have to murder two dogs that day.
/an/, I need your help. I have a 3 month old kitten, who is generally very loving and cuddly, but occaisonally acts up and does things like claw and/or bite my face. Today, out of nowhere, he dug his claw into my cheek. I immediately scruffed him, pinned him on my bed, screamed at him, and slapped his butt. I feel really bad but it fucking hurt. Is there a better method for next time he does this shit? Like the spray bottle method?
So, our cat has been fat for a while and we figured out a week or two ago that she's definitely pregnant. Then while my housemates and I were at uni, we came home and the cat was pushing out her fourth kitten. She's doing really well, cleaning them, nursing them, acting quite calm etc. Just wondering what the fuck we are supposed to do? Anything crucial that needs to be done today?
>>2128132 give her space, dont mess with the babies too much/at all until they are able to come to you on their own
first time moms tend to freak if you mess with them too much. If the kittens need to be moved, she'll move them. Dont do it for her. But keep doors and shit shut so she doesnt take them outside. If she's an alley whore and has had litters before she may be chill and bring them to you to babysit when she wants to go out for a walk or something
please get her fixed, post kitten pics when you get the chance
Do not touch the kittens at all unless she brings you to them or them to you. Make sure that you are giving her extra food and extra nutrient dense food since she's nursing. Putting her on a super high quality kitten food would be really great. Make sure that she has very easy access to water since she'll need a lot extra since she's nursing. Give her really high quality wet food too. Pamper the fuck out of her. She's working her ass off right now.
Put her food & water... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
How do I make life more fun for my parents dogs? They get walked regularly, and have a fairly big yard to play in, with a creek they can see across so they can bark at people, but I want to make them happier. I tried taking them to the dog park a year ago, but one of them got really aggressive and bitey with smaller dogs, and the other one hated having anything to do with the dogs at the park. Since then my parents have refused to take their dogs to the park. My parents are not interested in doing much, especially money-wise, except walking, playing with them occasionally and... Hey, I adopted an abandoned kitten, and she's doing good, but she won't eat anything but her KMR, and she won't eat that from a dish, just a little feeding syringe. I've tried giving her a dish of it and putting it on my finger so she sees what it is, and she has no interest. She only wants KMR, and only out of her bottle.
Also, weirdly, she wants no part of solid kitten food, but so far she has tried to eat normal cheese, cream cheese, and pita chips. Still can't get her interested in cat food at all, but she's all about cheese and pita... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
kittens will suckle as long as the mother lets them and usually have to be forced off since they never stop
dont feed her for 24 hours and make no food available for her at that time. In the morning, offer her some good quality wet food (different flavors) soaked in KMR. If that doesnt work, repeat every few hours to see if she'll come around/ If that works, slowly reduce the amount of kmr over a week until its just food
If she wont eat no matter what,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
This thread is dedicated to a male house sparrow. In tree there was placed an excellent little birdhouse that only small birds could enter. After a week it caught the attention of a sparrow. He began to proudly proclaim ownership of it. He would hop around branches and make his calls for hours every day, seeking to gain the attention and approval of a female. He did not give up; it was Spring and it was the time to make the next generation. But the calls became less frequent and with the advent of Summer they stopped completely. The birdhouse sits unused and devoid... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
