/an/, I am facing a bit of a dilemma.
After this summer in which I am spending about two months fixing up a piece of land in Illinois, I will be entering a 2 year vet tech program back home in Texas.
Now, I don't want to be a vet tech for my whole life, I just want to have the fancy piece of paper saying I know something about sick dogs.
The two big goals I have in life are training adopted pitbulls and reselling them to others alongside growing medicinal marijuana.
Is this the path I should be taking in order to set up a dog training school...

that's a crow m8. in flight the easiest way to tel the difference is the shape of the tail. crows have a smooth semi-circle curve at the end of the tail. ravens have more of a diamond shape that comes to a point in the middle.

heres a great pyrenees purebred thats available at my local shelter for only 100 dollars. the catch is he doesnt do well around other dogs or small children. that doesnt effect me, however in august i am moving in with a friend that has a cat. does anyone have this type of dog or have any knowledge on it? it seems a steal but i dont want to come home to a dead cat

If you find a decent dog behavourist. anything is possible. We went to our obedience class last night and they had a dog their that acted as an alpha and basically chilled all the other dogs out just by ignoring them and if they didnt take the hint there were some air snaps.
We had about 12 dogs in the hall and the mood just dropped from tense to relaxed after that, really interesting for us and our dogs.

How to tell if my dwarf hamster has diabetes.
I know they're prone to it and I put him on a low sugar diet but this morning the water bottle was empty and one corner was wet. I know this is a sign of diabetes.
Also seems very thirsty. The wet corner was under the water bottle so it either leaked last night and he didn't get water and that's why he's thirsty or he got diabetes.
Any other ways to tell? The wet corner didn't particularly smell like anything except hamster and wet paper.

What do you feed him? If it's your typical seed diet it tends to be very salty, which means he will drink more water. The bottles also tend to just drip. If he isn't overweight, you don't feed him so much sugar and salt its probably just the bottle.

I feed him generic hamster food with the pieces of corn taken out. He mostly eats the sunflower seeds and pellets.
Once a week I give him little slivers of some vegetable like cucumber or spinach and a little bit of egg white for protein.
He never drank as much as he his now

My dog used to do this. To teach it the error of its ways, I borrowed a puppy and brought it home, as soon as it appeared to develop a limp, I made a big deal about it in front of my dog, then pretended to take the puppy behind the shed to shoot it. While I loudly filled in a pre dug hole, the owner was passed his unharmed puppy, never to be seen by my dog again.
I then returned to my house and hugged my dog, telling him how awesome it was that he was well so I didn't have to murder two dogs that day.

/an/, I need your help. I have a 3 month old kitten, who is generally very loving and cuddly, but occaisonally acts up and does things like claw and/or bite my face. Today, out of nowhere, he dug his claw into my cheek. I immediately scruffed him, pinned him on my bed, screamed at him, and slapped his butt. I feel really bad but it fucking hurt. first time moms tend to freak if you mess with them too much. If the kittens need to be moved, she'll move them. Dont do it for her. But keep doors and shit shut so she doesnt take them outside. If she's an alley whore and has had litters before she may be chill and bring them to you to babysit when she wants to go out for a walk or something

Do not touch the kittens at all unless she brings you to them or them to you. Make sure that you are giving her extra food and extra nutrient dense food since she's nursing. Putting her on a super high quality kitten food would be really great. Make sure that she has very easy access to water since she'll need a lot extra since she's nursing. Give her really high quality wet food too. Pamper the fuck out of her. She's working her ass off right now.

How do I make life more fun for my parents dogs? They get walked regularly, and have a fairly big yard to play in, with a creek they can see across so they can bark at people, but I want to make them happier. I tried taking them to the dog park a year ago, but one of them got really aggressive and bitey with smaller dogs, and the other one hated having anything to do with the dogs at the park. Hey, I adopted an abandoned kitten, and she's doing good, but she won't eat anything but her KMR, and she won't eat that from a dish, just a little feeding syringe. I've tried giving her a dish of it and putting it on my finger so she sees what it is, and she has no interest. She only wants KMR, and only out of her bottle.
Also, weirdly, she wants no part of solid kitten food, but so far she has tried to eat normal cheese, cream cheese, and pita chips. Still can't get her interested in cat food at all, but she's all about cheese and pita...
