Found this big guy tied up outside. Anyone know what breed? We think he's got pit in him, maybe some lab.
I'm thinking lab.
>>2131415
Was he perhaps found near some wreckage with only one other mercenary?

Tied up where? How long did you notice him tied before you took him?
You might've just stolen someone's pet.
Has anyone ever worked with pigeons ? How do I know whether they like me or not ? There is this one pigeon that hates me with a passion but there are also some that kinda peck my fingers lightly.
Pigeon thread ?

I really like pigeons. The noises they make are soothing to me.
I once rescued a pigeon that had become trapped in a garbage can at work. This particular style of garbage can had a spring door at the top facing directly upwards instead of facing parallel to the ground as most spring garbages do. Pigeon landed on door, door opened from the weight, pigeon fell in, door snapped closed. I'm working outside near this garbage and every couple minutes i hear this THUMP THUMP THUMP noise. Had no idea where...

Pigeons are pretty cool. They're also racist bastards. They tend to only breed with pigeons that look like they do. This is why you only very rarely see pigeons that are natural colors. Their bird racism is keeping them domesticated colors.

I've worked with pigeons for a few years, I love them very much.
Good signs: coming towards you when they see you, cooing, light pecking.
Bad signs: wing slapping, inflating crop, fluffed feathers, aggressive biting, aggressive neck bobbling
Lidless edition
Anyone here go lidless?
Do you get jumpers?
is there a reason to? i shudder to think about all the dust and animal fur and crap that'd get in there, my tanks seem dusty enough as it is
im also a smoker and would not want that to get in my tank anymore than it probably already does
>>2128575
It's purely aesthetics.
I don't think dust would bother anything unless you live in a dusty ass house
Anyone else insect collect?
I've been storing insects in small vials
For about 2 years now keeping them in store bought 50% isopropyl alcohol
And it's been doing a fine job preserving them
Just interested in seeing photos of yours
> tarantula hawk; southern california
I'll attempt to keep posting my best ones
>Large woodland beetle; collected near lake arrowhead
More impressive in person I'd admit
Largest beetle I've ever seen
Hard to get a good photo
>decently large jumping spider
About an inch long

Dog rate thread
>ITT post your dog and anons rate it
Here's Lascaux, 5 months old Lab, demon from hell and destroyer of worlds
my dog is older than most people on /an/
Dog is being called Murphy (his name is based on a pub my dad always did go to)
He is 12years old and he is a Labrador.
Him soon going to die.
I know the dog since I was 6.
An Irish pub
Anyone know what animal this skull belonged to?
>>2134822
some boar
>>2134825
what makes you think that?
could also be a prehistoric hippo
Judging by the tusks and snouty-lookin nose, probably a boar in forced perspective or a fake giant boar.
identification, /an/? Is this something I should be worried about or is it killing things for me?
I see about a handful of these hanging around the outside of my house at night time. The pincers look kind of intimidating. I live in central Minnesota. I'd say it's about 1.5-3 inches from the butt to its head
This probably goes without saying but they only just started appearing a week ago, pretty much no bug survives the winter here outside.
This is the first time that I've ever actually seen these in my area for my 10 years living here.
>>2134771
looks like a stag beetle.
>>2134774
damn anon, I think you got it right on the mark. It appears to be a female here, specifically, since the males I see have much larger pincers.
Why is it that I'm only seeming females this whole time? I don't think I've seen a single male since these things started showing up

if you'll be adopting a cat from a shelter don't expect it to be a breed cat.
unless a cat has paperwork, it doesn't have a breed, no exceptions unlike dogs.
>>2134383
A Ragamuffin.
If you are adopting from a shelter, the "breed" of cat you will be limited to is color: they will all be domestic short/med/long hairs. I might you might see the occasional Siamese or Manx, but that is about it.
Can someone please tell me what this is on my female dog..
>>2134338
Might be her head, maybe her pelvis.
I don't know, man.
>>2134338
Something you need to go to a vet about, like right now.
That's an open wound, and it looks like you've just let it grow over an extended period of time. Honestly, that dog needed to see a vet weeks ago.
>>2134338
TAKE IT TO THE VET FOR FUCKS SAKE
>at the local park with my father and my child
>see duck splashing around frantically in the lake
>duck is stuck on fishing line, fishing line is stuck on plants
>borrow a knife from an onlooker, walk into the water
>duck calms down long enough for me to see fishing hook, complete with lure, stuck in her side under right wing
>touch it to see if I can get it out, but can tell it's too...

I'd have told you to shoot it, but I doubt it's duck season for you.

I'm not allowed to have a gun because of previous hospitalizations, and definitely did not have one with me at the park.

So you're a suicidal girl. That's cool.
How'd you try to do it?
Is it immoral to own pits? I think a pit owner is infringing on the rights of his family and anyone that comes in contact with the blood-thirsty monster.
Should owners need proper licensing and heavy taxation? Should we even allow ownership?
Nah they should stop being bred just so retards stop this pit cult mentality. They are a dangerous breed, bred to kill and that part of them will always be there no matter how sweet, just like any animal, they can be.
>getting killed by a 50lb dog
No there is nothing inherently wrong with them, its just mostly dumb human trash owns pits.
Which is the best cat and why is it the King Cheetah?
You are subscribed to catfacts!
Nope! Hyenas are the best cat.
