2 MB,
Alright guys I hate to make my own thread about this but it's kind of an emergency and I can't find anything about it online.

I just made a new enclosure for my Pacman frog last night, I bought some organic unfertilized potting soil from Lowe's as substrate, along with some sphagnum moss I've had for a while. When I put the frog in there last night, she buried herself in the dirt, as they do. Today, I dug her out and placed her in her water dish in an attempt to maybe make her defecate, as she had a pinkie mouse a few days ago. When I put her in, after...

springtails, they're probably living in and off the sphagnum.

harmless if not beneficial.

What do you mean by beneficial? How could it be benificial?

Is there any way I can make sure that they are springtails or to get rid of them if I want?
>>
beneficial for sure. they will eat any mold/fungus that wants to grow in your tank. completely harmless to your froge.

Alright /an/ I'm not here to stay (hail from /k/) but is there a certain time you can keep wasps frozen with-out killing them? I need to know because I have a couple of undesirable nests and I don't want to let the little red fuckers go to waste. Is freezing the entire nest the best way of passivized them for long periods (at most 4 days) or is there a better way that will keep them alive and passivized for longer?

I personally don't own any snakes but this situation has caught my attention. I didn't see any threads pertaining to this, however, has anyone else heard about this? Apparently, dozens of snake owners are losing the right to own certain species of snakes. I found the article on USARK's Facebook page. Pic related, lady who had her snakes taken away.

I can see why if it's like a huge snake you have to feed rabbits in a bathtub or something venomous but that snake isn't really that big. That sucks.

I think what even makes it worse is the fact that the snakes were frozen to death. I would be very disheartened if that happened to my beardies...

Hey /an/ my Bunny gave birth to two beautiful baby girls about 12 - 13 weeks ago. i choose to keep them, and bought a new triple cage to them, so there would be enough space. but now my bunny is pregnant again. She managed to get into my male rabbits cage about a month ago, i was quick to get her out, but not quick enough.
i have two problems now.
It's only 12 - 14 weeks ago she gave birth the last time, will she be okay??
and should i separate her and her two other babies, before she gives birth and while the babies grow up?
i feel terrible, i do have enough...

She'll be fine. Bunnies do this pretty often in captivity, especially if you don't keep the sexes well separated. They have multiple litters in the wild, too.

The kits can be raised together, shouldn't be a problem. You'll want to separate them out by sex before they hit sexual maturity, though. The kits can be removed and put in a new cage after four weeks, which is about how long it takes for her to gestate new kits. So, you prefer, just take the old babies out of the cage when the...

Holy shit, how do you let that happen twice? Crimeny. Owners like you are the biggest reason spaying/neutering is so fervently encouraged.

>inb4 momma rabbit has son and gets pregnant by it

That aside, I'd move the kits out of the cage so they don't disturb her nest. Make sure they don't get the chance to have sex with their daddy; they can ovulate as young as three months, so if he fucks his babies, you might have some incest litters on your hands. As far as the doe's health is concerned, ask your vet what you...

Learn how to properly skin and gut a rabbit. Eat the males before they're big enough to fuck their mother. Eat any females you can't afford to keep.

They make a great roast and there are tons of recipes online. You can also look up humane slaughtering techniques. Not even being edgy with ya. I've trapped wild ones and roasted them while on long hiking trips and camping trips on friends property.

3 MB,
I found a kitty this morning mewling outside my apartment window.

He looks very scrawny but hasn't ate or drank yet.

He also has runny poop.

I've had the fella for about 1/2 an hour now.

Also he bit a bunch of little holes in my finger. I put on peroxide and polysporin right away so i should be fine right?

Does anyone else only kill mosquitos when provoked? They're just trying to live life, man. It doesn't feel right to just smash em to smash em. I wait until they land on my arm or something then bite before smashing their bodies onto my skin.

Best dogs for when /out/ ?

looking for:

-loyalty
-keen senses
-something that'll aware me of anything dangerous trying to sneak up on me.

Why? I'm going on a camping trip where there may be wolves / bears. To stay safe I want to bring along a dog with sharper ears than mine.

Plus it would be awesome if I could also use this for hunting.

-If you are starting off make sure to get at least too hives, reason being that it allows you to compare them and be better able to spot differences and problems.

-Bees aren't as handsfree as you might think, you do need to keep tabs and check on them, especially in America where disease and parasites are such a big problem.

So over two weeks ago I made I thread about how my cat had gone missing and that I'd he ever came back would it be possible to make him into an indoor cat again and train him to use the litter box again. Well we were able to find him, he wandered into a neighbors basement and got stuck there for two and a half weeks, so now I am looking into how to retrain him

What do?

Put three litter boxes down in the main rooms of the house and put him in one so he knows its there. Litterbox training shouldn't be a problem as cats usually want to bury their waste.

You're going to have to set about an hour out of your day (broke up into 2 or 3 periods preferably) to play with your cat. He's going to get restless.

Besides that maybe look into getting a harness and harness training. Contrary to popular belief, adult cats can be harnessed trained, its just going to take...

He is a senior (11 years) and whenever tried to play with me before he would just sort of ignore me and instead want to cuddle. I remember when he was still a kitten I attempted to walk him around on a leash whenever he wanted to to go out (before I left him be an outside cat) and he pretty much hated it.

Experienced breeders have bred them for there loving temperament over the past century. Since they're retrievers, it's necessary for them to be very family friendly. That's what makes them extremely able to be tamed.

>purina super coat for puppies

>Meat & meat by-products (from chicken, beef and/or lamb) and/or poultry by-products
That's quite vague. Why didn't they just mention what's in it? By-products are NOT good.

>fish and fish by-products
Same thing with above

>wholegrain cereals (wheat and/or sorghum); cereal by-products and/or vegetable proteins;
Third item on the list and they've already gone to shit. Again with the by-products and wtf is 'vegetable protiens'. The reason vegetables are in there is to give your puppy a balanced diet with proper vitamins. Not just fucking protein.

>other cereals; minerals and vitamins (including, sodium chloride and/or calcium carbonate and/or potassium chloride and/or choline chloride; vitamin E, zinc sulphate, ferrous sulphate, niacin, copper sulphate, manganous oxide, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, vitamin A, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, potassium iodide, vitamin D3, cobalt carbonate, sodium selenite, vitamin B12); beet pulp; garlic, rosemary plant extract.

The first five ingredients should be specified for meat and vegetables. You don't want "cereals" and "by-products" in there. That could just be some horrible animal they scraped off the side of the road. You want to know what's going into your dog.
Also, imo I don't think you should look for food that has labelled "for coats" because if it was a good brand, all of its foods should be aimed for health. And that's the best way to see how healthy your pup is, by how healthy their coat is.

I recommend these brands:
Acana
Origin
Blue buffalo

Maybe someone can give me some insight on this.

My 6 year old AmStaff stopped eating and drinking. Took her into our vet and they couldn't diagnose anything, said it may be a stomach bacteria, gave us some antibiotics. After a couple of days of that, she started vomiting. Took her in again, and they though they saw a mass in her intestines. An exploratory surgery later, no mass, but a couple of enlarged lymph nodes. Nodes are out for analysis, waiting on results.

Hi /an/, I need some minor pet help (no not take it to the vet kind of help).

So I have a budgie. He's very active but rarely interacts with me, he mostly prefers to play with "toys" like drawstrings for shades or chew on bird-safe plants and wood. Other than that he mostly spends time in his cage with normal toys.

Should I just accept that he isn't interactive? I can't even take him more than 6 feet away from his cage before he takes off. He steps up just fine and will eat food with me, and that's about as far as interaction goes....
