I am a vet nurse/tech starting puppy training classes in our practice based around dogs having fun at the vets and habituation towards equipment, restraint and handling for veterinary procedures like clipping nails, examining teeth and ears, injections, blood sampling to promote happy stress free vet visits, so the dogs aren't scared and aggressive when they come in. Now I need a name for these classes. We were going to call them "love your vet" classes but a local trainer has a similar name "love dog training"... Comment too long. /an/, how many of you guys live on the east where this blizzard is happening? How much snow have you gotten from it? If you don't live in an area affected by this blizzard, whats the most snow youve ever seen from a single storm?
We've got ~30 inches of snow out here. I'm in the Frederick MD area which, while not hit the hardest, has been pounded.
Anyone live in that area in west Virginia that got 40 inches of snow? Got any pics?
How much will a flock of budgies fuck up my life? I don't have a house. I live in a rented apartment. I rent it from my parents, and they don't really care if I wreck it completely, however it's quite small (two rooms).
I currently have a female budgie and want her to be happy and shit, from what I now know budgies are very very very social.
Discuss anything aquarium related here, including inhabitants, decor and issues.
Google is your friend. Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.
Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture: -tank size -parameters -any and all inhabitants + how long you've... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>2042585 >sound like almost exactly what I was planning >I even bought my first corys from a local store today I don't know if that's a good thing or not but I've spent the last hour watching my corys putter away while eating and I feel content
Im new to the hobby. What is this ashy looking stuff in my tank? Should I be worried about it? It is on some larger leaf plants, my wood and decorations. It brushes off if I try though By the way, I have no fish yet, just around 12 plants
>>2037948 He looks like he would be a beautiful drag queen with those fake lips. Other than that I don't really care for him. I feel like he's mostly just a TV icon with no real knowledge on dog psychology.
I've never had any pets before and I just got my own place. I want to get a wolverine because he's my favorite comic character. Does anyone have wolverines and can tell me how to take care of them? Since it's not a dog or cat will I have to pay a security deposit?
Melanism is just the overabundance of melanin. Melanism has developed multiple, different times. For example, black jaguar's have at least one mutated MC1R gene to thank. Domestic black cats have 2- deletion in the ASIP gene to thank. I'm not sure why exactly it makes them a little more disease resistance though. Here's some stuff for you to read if you're interested.
I have two cats. Both are female. Both were adopted. Both the same age and type of cat. I believe one is slightly mentally slow either due to past owner experience or natural birth defect.
I was gone for a 3-day vacation and the other cat (the one without mental issues) was acting more hostile towards the other than usual; going after her after I saw the first assault and then again after pushing her away the second time.
The one WITH the mental issues seems to have trouble with figuring out I don't want her getting onto my bed and other surfaces. Yes, I know... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>2043728 About 9 years. I believe the mentally challenged one is a bit older though, As I said, I'm not being a fuckwit about this and trying to troll. But I'm sorry. I should have stated how long I've had them.
>>2043734 I've both seen this done many time in my youth and done this myself. However, I live in an area where the concept of outdoor animals or any pet outside and NOT on a leash just doesn't exist. As much as I want outdoor cats like... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
So my shi-tzu sneezed a little bit of blood this morning, should I just put her down? she's pretty old and deaf (blind due to cataracts) I heard nose bleeds are usually cancer. Can't afford a CT scan at the moment. took her to the vet and told just gave me antibiotics and that vietnam blood medicine.
My roommate stepped on my kitties tail. After making him pay for the vet visit, the tail wasn't broken, just soft tissue damage. It scabbed up considerably and now it just looks like a small but notable cut going across the tail. Is there any cream or ointment I can put on it to aid the healing process?
I think it's best not to put anything on it. It will probably heal on it's own, and if you put something on it, your cat will just lick it off again. So if you put something on it, make sure it is something that isn't dangerous when ingested.
